Бронзовые струны имеют очень приятный тембр. На гуслях, которые есть у меня, стоят струны из нержавейки, но ,послушав бронзу, даже захотелось поэкспериментировать.
How did you go about tuning a kantele according to harmonics? Are all intervals just perfect ratios in relation to the first string or was some other principle used?
Hi I want to play this on my kantele but I am a simple guy and don't really understand how to read notes. Can you tell me how your instrument is tuned here?
This kantele replica has bronze strings and for that reason its tuning is fairly low: Aflat3 - Bflat3 - C4 - Dflat4 - Eflat5. Thus the scale is five first tones of Ab Major. In this tradition the notes can be (and often are) written on different level than the music is actually played on. That is: your instrument is tuned in whatever major it is built and suitable for and you transpose the written music on it. In small kanteles it is usually easiest to think about string numbers (=scale degrees). So the last note in this score line is your string #1, the lowest tone in your 5 string kantele. I hope this makes sense.
This tune is extremely soothing. Love the sound of this one.
The variety of music possible with only 5 strings is inspirational. Thank you for sharing this music with everyone.

Thank you, a perfect salve for these Troubled times, I love listening to your 1833 kantele CD for relaxation
