It is not about taking ground, It is about destroying the enemy's forces.
It is a political decision by Russia to keep the frontline within the borders of the oblasts it has annexed, that now ARE Russia. They don't want to escalate.
It's a meatgrinder operation. It's exactly what the Russians want it to be.
they are using the low land firebag to draw in more ukranian forces and have no intend to take it as it is a very bad position for the ukranians. dont interupt your enemy making mistakes. the little pushes was just to stoke the fires to draw in more ukranian forces in to the zone of death.. do you even map read, ukrainians need to take a road that is just overwatched and in range of the russians. no one makes it out of robotyno. and with the tunnel the russians used to hold it so long which wasnt even the plan it is clear what the plan was. create weakness to steer the opponent in to prepared positions. the russians even decided in which positions the ukranians would sit before ukraine took it.
too bad you don't realize this war isn't about taking over territories, it is about weakening the military of Ukraine.
