Hi, I'm Aaron Graber with Ventrac. In this video, we're gonna talk about the power bucket. The Ventrac power bucket is 48 inches wide and has a 6 cubic foot capacity. It's great for moving mulch
gravel sand or other loose debris we also have different accessories including bolt-on cutting teeth mulch extensions and a grapple. The power bucket connects to the tractor using the front hitch arms it also uses the auxiliary hydraulics to handle the dump function. Use the SDLA lever to control the power bucket by moving the main arm right to left to raise or lower and the
auxiliary arm right to left to dump. The power bucket is one of the most useful attachments that we offer it's a great alternative to a traditional loader when you're working near the ground or in tight spaces. Most of what you can do with the loader you can do with the power bucket and it's a lot easier to connect to and easier to use. Let's take a look at some tips and tricks for using the power bucket on a Ventrac 4500 tractor. Connecting to the power
bucket is a simple task and can be done in less than a minute but there is one important thing to remember. You need to make sure your hitch arms are at the right height to make it as easy as possible. To do this best when you detach from the tractor put the bucket in float and make sure this bottom surface is about level with the ground. You'll notice that these lift cylinders are almost completely contracted that way. If they're extended too far
these hitch arms will be too low and will be difficult to connect the next time. On lighter attachments like the power bucket, you might need to block them or put something in front so they don't slide forward as you connect to them Another tip for getting the most out of your power bucket is understanding weight transfer. On 4,500 tractors the weight transfer lever is right here there are four different settings one through four on the higher settings you transfer more weight back from the attachment to the tractor when that actually helps you do is lift more material.

I love the grapple. The winch And a attchment for removing rocks for seeding a lawn in the comments below would be great also. What I love about Ventrac the most is they listen to there customers And design products from customers that use them, Like the redesigned finish mower. Great machines, Great videos.

Have you thought about manufacturing a rock bucket for the tractor to sift through rocks and other debris? I think it might be something to look at in the future

We have not looked into this yet, but that is a good suggestion. Thanks!

I have this bucket with the grapple. I could never get the bottom edge level on standard operation. I made and indicator that I can see from the seat and it works great. Trac On!!!!

I assume the bucket extension is incompatible with the grapple?
How easy is the grapple to mount & unmount.... or do you just leave it on all the time?

Correct .... You can run either but not both at the same time. It's not hard at all to remove the grapple.... a few bolts and the cylinder stays connected to the claw piece and it comes off the bucket as a single assembly.

I love my 2020 Ventrac 4500Z with the Power Bucket with teeth and Grapple. I am always needing to dig a hole like 2 to 3 ft deep. Please tell or show me some tips how to do this. I realize it is not designed to do this but I cannot afford to buy another tractor just to dig a hole in soft dirt. At 70 yrs of age a shovel just doesn't fit my hand very well, anymore. Thank you !
