Ordered SE stage 2 kit, cannon slip ons, and SE tuner for my 21 RKS. Will be installed on the 30th! I’m 6’4”, 270, my 114 has plenty of pull, but looking for a little more acceleration for the reason you stated. Already installed Legends front and back, what a ride! Keep posting, enjoy your vlogs! Man, I fully believe a Stage 2 is worth it just for the added performance alone. Stage 1 is nice but the Stage 2 is more fun and adds usable power to the bike. Very good video!
@@BoDean52 Absolutely, a cam upgrade on a M8 really opens it up. On my old Twin Cam 96 I put $3500 into the top end to make it 103 and the M8 has more power with a simple cam change.
Just getting started on my stage two set up ; SE extreme ventilator AC, SE 55mm intake manifold, SE adj. push rods, Fueling st race series lifters, SE oil pump & plate, CR 480 mt cam, full sac 2-1-2 header, S&S MK45 mufflers and Dyno Jet tuner. 😎
You don't know how timely this is for me! Thanks SO much for the input. I've been toying with purchasing a '17 RG to put a Moto-Trike kit on and wondering what I could do to beef up the performance. I've been spoiled riding a '21 Triglide with that 114, BUT have ridden a '16 RGU with that independent suspension and I really found a huge positive difference in the ride, but it was a bit sluggish. Thanks again!
S&S 585 cam chest kit installed. I do really like the bump at 3k but I don't particularly like how much noisier the motor is. Overall I would do it again in a minute
I just did the stage 2 on my RGL 114, V&H slipon, arlen nes big sucker air filter and I took off the catalyst.. It was properly dyno tuned and its not loud... my cam is a S&S 465.. bike is amazing and luckly not loud.. it's a bit louder than before the cam and it has now a deep and nice bass sound... fuel econony is around 46 mpg crusing at 75 mph... Bike has now 101whp and 127lbt with a flat torque curve
More power is always more fun. That and your new suspension must be a huge improvement. It will be interesting as exhaust companies are pulling the cat less pipes and moved them to the racing section. HD had to pay a huge fine years ago to the EPA as they were installing illegal parts on street bikes.
Steve two is always recommended in my opinion. I’m not a fan of modifying internal engine parts. If I want a faster bike, I’ll buy a bike designed to be fast.
Umm, I am rethinking my stage 2. It is definitely an upgrade in performance. It really goes. I have the 465 S&S cam for more torque. I did a complete lower end redo. HOWEVER, the gas mileage really sucks bad. I find I don't really ride any different with a staged 2 than my previous stage one configuration. I used to get 300 miles per tank here in Florida. I now get about 210 Miles per tank. That means the jury is still out for me. I only did it because my original stock cam after 20,000 miles was toast. I had no choice. I will live with it for now. Maybe I will get used to the trade off. I hope.
I almost pulled the trigger on a stage 2...but decided to wait. I did a stage 1 for now....I don't know how many tunnels you have out your way....but go through one on the bike and see how fast your man-child shows....ask me how I know!!🤣...great video...stay safe...ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦

I have the Fueling 525 Cam for my TC 103 for over a year sitting in my Garage....At over 43K on it now....I feel that just putting that on a Bike with mileage.....I got to go through my Engine before doing it....Because with more power and torque i will ride it harder than i do now with a Stage 1...
Getting ready to do a cam upgrade on my 14 twin cam with the woods 222 cam, I’m currently running the Rinehart slimline duals, should I leave the exhaust alone or should I go to a good 2-1 exhaust?
If you want the pure performance kind of build and don’t care about going on longer rides or having any kind of fuel efficiency. The screaming eagle cams are a good way to get a decent performance boost, a more traditional harley sound and still keep it suitable for longer rides.
I have a 2014 heritage softtail. Got it from the dealer and it came with some cobras. I'm looking to get a stage 2 done and this video has been very informative and makes me wanna pull the trigger more. Do you know a rough estimate of cost?
I'm 72. I ride a 2017 Tri- Glide stage 2 torque cam, Vance & Haines slip-ons and K&N air filter. runs out a lot better then stock. I get more valve noise now. Never grow up.
🛑🛑 I agree Bob!👍 The Low End “Grunt” Torque, is just makes the bike feel AWESOME! It is really fun to just “jump on it”!!💯 The Heat and the bikes ability to “breath” is very nice and noticeable. Please let us know if you’re taking some rides this year. Keep Riding Buddy!!😀👍
Hmmmmmmm, interesting. I’m a couple years in to the bike scene. My 117 runs great at the moment. I was thinking about doing a stage 1 and 2. I may have to rethink that……..
Interesting video BoDean but no thank you on the stage two. For the motorcycle to run less restricted and cooler a full stage one with a proper head pipe an tune will do that. I think the more you do to that engine you decrease reliability. Everyone knows that they come from the factory to restricted. A 114 has enough power it just like you said needs to breath. Save your money.

Great to hear your happy voice about the increase in power with getting off the line. Too cool.

Good point and I have not checked on gas mileage yet but plan too
210-250 is normal on a stock Harley. You maybe thought you were getting around 300 but I doubt you actually were
@@PitbullSoco Nope, I actually wwas. In Florida everything is flat. The computer is pretty accurate.
No one gets 300 miles out of a tank, that’s 50 mpg, in a HD touring bike.
I agree 300 miles is not gonna happen unless you only go down hill the whole time.@@freebehindbars8654

Sounds and performs great I bet
I'm close to getting a stage 2 on my 2019 RG one of the reasons is I want to upgrade the oil pump

You don’t need to from my perspective at all

My opinion a stage two is only good if you upgrade the entire cam chest with a premium cam kit like the ones from S&S motors.
Would be better for sure, for my type of riding this has worked

Good afternoon Mr. BoDean,
I hope you are well. Great video! Are you familiar with a Stage III as well? Thank you
Respectfully,

thanks and I am a little, just decided to keep it here
What road is that that you are on I live in Michigan myself always looking for a new Road
It is right outside of Hell Michigan
Buster! Noooo. I loved seeing him in your videos. My neighbors here have sticks up their butt so I try and make the bike scream every chance I get!

What tuner do you have and is it a canned map, or did you have it dyno tuned?
It’s a Screaming Eagle torque cam and it was Dyno tuned

Not worth it if you keep uphrading. Just go straight from stage 1 to stage 4 or you will be changing the cam again
