YO THIS MOVIE WAS DOPE!!! We have definitely seen films like this but this had a modern new feel while giving amazing suspense. Smile is a Dope movie for sure. After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can't explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality. This movie gives us Freddy vibes but instead of bad things happening in dreams they’re happening while she’s awake which is CRAZY!!

Great reaction :) Also I think the reason there wasn’t a full “explanation” is because the main message behind the movie is that trauma is contagious-and especially with suicide, you’re never really ending the pain; you’re just transferring it onto someone else. So it had a strong metaphorical meaning behind it, which I think a lot of survivors of trauma understand well. But I liked how they actually made it with a real monster though lol even though the victim’s fears & thoughts obviously play a role in what happens. So it was a mix of mine games and real demon possession, the way I saw it. Crazy stuff! Lol
Right, I've noticed that with a lot of movies. It seems like a lot of reactors especially, of certain ages/generations, sometimes they have issues like putting certain things together. The Green Mile is a good example. Too many reactors didn't understand the "bugs" coming out of his mouth. And it's like..........how do you NOT understand? You can't tell that the bugs represent the bad stuff he just took away. Like why do so many of them need that part explained when it's so obvious?😂

Best horror movie that I've seen in years. The performances are outstanding, the cinematography is gorgeous, the jump scares are f'n insane, the plot is ingenious. 🙂
The girl who played Laura in the beginning was only in it for a few minutes, but she was incredible. I hope we see more of her in horror going forward. Same with Sosie Bacon.

Props to the sound designers and FX crew for those gore scenes, omfg. First time in YEARS I legit covered my eyes and held my breath.

And is also an amazing movie, one of my favs of the last decade honestly. It Follows has a heat soundtrack and sound design too just like this one. Very 80’s Carpenter.

I watched the trailer and I was like, I don’t know what total clusterf*ck I’ve just watched but I want to see it. So I saw it in the cinema 2 weeks ago and it was hands down the best I’ve seen in years. The scene with her thinking talking to her psychiatrist was the scariest thing ever

I swear if you listen close you can hear the cat being killed in the house. Didn’t realize until a few watches. It’s after she stops the alarm and is walking with the knife.

Oh hell yeah, I've been waiting for this one for a while! I think there are some movies that came out this Halloween season that are technically better as movies (Barbarian comes to mind) but NOTHING freaked me the fuck out more than this movie. Probably in several years, tbh.
Yesss in theaters at night time had me shook the jump scares was hella loud . Overall was hella scary .
I loved this movie so much,it scared the hell out of me and that one jump scare got my heart pounding so bad. I wish they changed the ending though cause those effects were just bad and annoying as well and ruined the movie for me a bit. I do like how this movie is talking about mental heath from the side of those that have it in a way and that it's a 'demon' they can not fight in many ways. The actress of Rose is Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick's daughter which is interesting really. The scene with the dead cat broke me though I hate it when they kill off the pets in the movies so annoying.

A better version of this thought would be Fallen with Denzel Washington back in the 90s.
Smile’s trailer was very intriguing. It seem like it was going to take something as simple as smiling and make it scary. A very rare concept. It seems from your reaction that it did what the trailer suggested. You guys should react to Stephen King’s Dreamcatcher. Morgan Freeman’s in it. It can get kind of weird at times, but it. definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. And trust me, you don’t want to slip off. Lol. I believe I read Stephen King considers Dreamcatcher his worst film. I think it’s a great film though. I believe Wikipedia said he hated writing the book, mostly because he wrote it when he was basically bedridden from a van accident, had a fever, and wasn’t in his right mind or something to that affect.
It was ok, for me it felt predictable nothing that I haven’t seen in other horror movies

this movie reminds me of the movies, mirrors ,one missed call , and truth or dare! to me those movie are better then this one especially one missed call and it they have a better explanation on why this psychological spirit is hunting people ! and the main character finds out whos the spirit hunting them ! i definitely recommend those movie and ur gf will enjoy those more
