i didn't have database server in same server ( like yours), it is separate like DatabaseServer and instance name is = SQLEXPRESS , when i put "DatabaseServer\SQLEXPRESS" and try to check connection it was failed. Now what to do?
Wassup Jay....Really having a blast watching your step by step guide....But at this portion I am kinda stuck....During the ConfigMgr installation on SC-01 during the last phase of prerequisite chk I am getting multiple warnings 1. Schema extensions 2. Active Directory Domain Functional Level Check 3. Verify site server permissions to publish to Active Directory. And a failure as well...which is: Windows Preinstallation Environment installed This is blocking my lab setup....And I have setup every service and VM as you stated in the videos....Help me if you can...Pls!!
@@TekNexSolutions Actually I kinda found the solution.....I am currently downloading the Windows PE add on coz it doesnt come bundled with ADK..So that may solve my issue....I will get in touch as soon as I work this stuff out....BTW I am using CB 1902
@@TekNexSolutions Also I wanted to ask....on the site server SC01 Is it going to make any difference if we install SCCM on the admin user or the sccm user....I mean how will affect the lab setup..
I used SCCM user to keep things simple. If you logged in with administrator account, installed SCCM and provided full administrative permissions to SCCM account, then you would not be able to connect to site server through console. You have to login to the server as sccm user and then it will connect to site server through console. SCCM security permissions are different than AD permissions.
At 9:25, while configuring WSUS, you do not click the "Start Connecting" button at the Connect to Upstream Server screen. Instead, you click cancel. Would this not discard all settings previously set in the WSUS config wizard, since you clicked cancel? Or is this somehow recorded and later finalized during ConfigMgr install/configuration?

Aye Jay, loving your guides and your style of delivery. Do you have any tutorial on implementing CMG for SCCM?
Thank you 😊
CMG videos were planned, couldn’t record as my workload suddenly increased due to COVID-19.

It is recommended by Microsoft to have db on SCCM server, not a different box. Is your SQL an Express version?

Hi Purusharth
I am more than happy to help.
Can you confirm the CB version which you are trying to install?

This is just to initialize WSUS and the rest is all managed by ConfigMgr.
In request filtering can I add .exe like .msi?
Exe is not required
Whooa whoooa you messed me up!!! The ADK, Configmgr, sql server are supposed to installed on the SCCM server!!! Duh man!
And? If you installed on a wrong box then it’s your problem!
Beware folks this is NOW on the SCCM server. The last video he was on the DC server. This messed up big time.
