I know you guys have been doing this, and have been great at it for quite some time, but I think this pod is about to hit another level. The chemistry has always been there, but everybody seems to be hitting their stride at the same time. I'm very excited to see you guys continue to grow and develop even more. Keep it up.
KG (04) won mvp when I was born. Stephen Curry got me into ball during the 73-9 year but Westbrooks MVP & Giannis (fav player) turning into a star made me start to really love the game #dropthemike
Was just about to start my drive to work, thought I would double check to see if they've posted a pod. I was so happy to see another 2+ hour pod. Thank you TTW 🙏
as an Australian i cant lie Ben Simmons being drafted was the reason i started watching basketball (still hoping for a Ben comeback this season (yes im delusional)), but because of that i don't really have a team i'm overly attached to i'm more just a fan of players. And i was born in 01 which i'm pretty sure was the Iverson year #dropthemike
#dropthemike- I was born for Steve nash first mvp. The player that got me into ball was Paul George on the pacers. The fact he was taking the big 3 to 7, plays both sides of the ball on an absolute elite level and now love his podcast. He is still my fav player.
I just wanna say you guys are cold man this podcast got me through some mental stuff and this would get me out of my head naturally i appreciate y’all !!!
During the pandemic I was watching a lot of KBs 2k videos but, I wasn't really into basketball. He was my go to guy during the pandemic and because of him I'm a big basketball fan. Love from PR 🇵🇷. #DropTheMike
#DropTheMike The two players that got me into watching basketball were Trevor Ariza (bc i loved using him in 2K9) and T-MAC (saw 13 points in 35s live and was in awe) The player that won MVP the year I was born was Tim Duncan, his first one.
idk where y'all getting the fact dallas "on their knees" for capela, every report says they don't wanna give up any meaningful assets for him and trading for him is a purely short-term move for a declining aging center
This episode is wild 😂 #DropTheMike The player that got me into basketball was Giannis (but really that whole 2021 Bucks squad, I didn’t really watch the nba until that finals run) and Kobe was the mvp the year I was born (08). Edit: bro I paused the pod for a minute and when I turned it back on it was at 2:14:38 and I about died 💀
Hey guys, Tuesday is my birthday and my first day of boot camp. Sad to say I’ll miss my first episode in years. Thank you guys for everything y’all do.
#DropTheMike Timmy D won his second consecutive year I was born (2003) and Kevin Garnett undoubtedly got me into basketball!! as a young dude watching the sport, I gravitated towards his passion and intensity he displayed every second on the court.
Timmy D won mvp in my birth year. Brandon Roy, andre miller and Lamarcus Aldridge got me into the nba. As a Portland native not having cable, I got to watch only a handful of games as a kid during the season, LMA’s killer midrange game, brandon roy’s electric playstyle and andre miller being a solid pg that could always do the right thing really made me a fan. Good times man.
I disagree completely on that drose take. He went through so many knee injuries and came back more efficient, smart, skilled and was nice off the bench
@@damageying4233 nah he was way more smart as a player because he learned how to not be reckless. Thats why he got injuries because of how he was reckless and trying to do shit he didn't have to do. He learned how to impact the game with his floaters, 3's and mid range. He became a better playmaker too
@@kingforte9246it wasnt just him not dunking. he became alot more craftier and a much better jumpshooter. he relies alot less on attacking the rim now then he used to and uses his floater more than he ever did during his bulls days
Devin vassel a problem in the middy, good slasher and he can splash the 3. Expecting a breakout season for him Edit: not to mention a lockdown on guards/some forwards
Devin is a terrible slasher what are u talking about, half of being a good slasher is being able to put the ball in the hoop and he was the second worst in the league last year and also has been lackluster defensively despite his physical tools. He's not gonna breakout this year maybe next year but he needs to be consistent before he can break out
@@arturoramirez883 he was a consistent three point shooter and with less volume on rim shots he should be more efficient not less, I'm not hating but it seems like a lot of times people ignore Devin's very clear flaws. That's why next season I don't expect him to make a jump, he's just gonna get more consistent and Keldon is gonna take the jump he was supposed to last year but couldn't since most of the time he was the only consistently good player in the lineup
Lance Stephenson got me into basketball, I randomly went to a hornets game for a school event or something. We were playing the Hawks and the game went into triple OT. Lance made a goofy 3 to beat the buzzer and win the game. Fell in love with the game from then on. Tim Duncan won MVP when I was born 2003
tim duncan won mvp the year i was born (2002). dwyane wade, chris bosh, josh richardson, john wall and goran dragic helped me fall in love with basketball. i had always paid attention to basketball and even played it, but i didnt really lock in until the 2014-15 season when lebron left the heat. i knew basketball was for me when i watched washed shannon brown and danny granger chuck shots for the heat and i enjoyed it 😭 #dropthemike
Miami LeBron got me to lock in more on basketball in 2013 as he won MVP and finals mvp. Also, that next year my Toronto Raptors made the playoffs for the first time in awhile which helped a lot too. #DropTheMike
#dropthemike unfortunately karl malone won mvp in my year, but the player that got me into basketball was kobe bryant i distinctly remember watching kobe play in like 07 against the celtics and my dad hyping me up that he was the second greatest player to ever play behind jordan then i followed basketball and the next year they went to the finals but lost in 08 so ever since then i been a die hard lakers fan and kobe fan all because my pops took the time to break down plays with me of, how kobe did this, why kobe did that. Great memories man rip mamba 🙏🏾
#DropTheMike my mvp was Steve Nash and I only got into basketball from 2k 😭 I’m from the UK so it’s was only football and I played fifa religiously until the pandemic when 2k20 was £1.50 so me and my friends bought it and basically spent the whole pandemic playing it, found kenny’s youtube and watched his rebuilds and then the pod, now I’d like to think I’ve got a pretty good basketball knowledge 🤣🤣
#dropthemike I got into basketball kinda late but Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller got me into basketball. That 2011 Indiana Hoosier team. Allen Iverson was MVP my birth year
1:10:00 Kawhi was 2nd in MVP in 2016. As a Warriors fan, I’ll always remember the Spurs going 67-15 while we were 73-9, Kawhi winning DPOY over Draymond & Kawhi being 2nd in MVP behind Curry. That Spurs team was our biggest comp before the playoffs started
I became an nba fan in 2018, but funnily enough daequan Cook is the player that made me fall in love with basketball 😭 I would play nba live 09 on the wii and he was a dog frrrr #dropthemike
Steve Nash won the year i was born (05) and it was really my whole family who got me into basketball at the time of the 2013 nba finals cause yk how spurs culture is 🤞
The player who got me into basketball was 2018-19 Drose cause I was 14 when i started watching and he dropped 50. Kg won MVP when i Was born #dropthemike
That back to back Zion to Jamal Murray topic interaction was crazyyy 😂😂😂

This is a WILD episode dawg 😂😂😂😂
Pierre kinda wrong about Ibaka he literally became a stretch 5 his last couple years in Toronto while still being a good rebounder and rim protector
So he went from a stretch 4 to a stretch 5
We all love the pod . You guys keep pushing through the dead of offseason ❤.
Congrats on getting married Kenny!

59:56 I still think about the fact that Murray did that. Like an intrusive thought of bubble head.
