@@ryuchigo The massive tempo it gets is more than enough, basically a different kind of a Shudderwock, the fact that others do not have the same kind of tool makes the situation a bit dry, but for example Tess can help Rogue the same way Zul,Jin helps Hunter.

The real problem about Dr. Boom is giving rush to mechs. You put a minion? It's not important, here's a mech rushing in its face. Dr. Boom always has the advantage on board because of this.
Leonardo Barreto Zilliax comes more often, but at least it already got Rush and the Lifesteal is only useful if the Warrior didn’t Armor Up every turn. A Yeti dealing 10 damage and having Rush is way to strong compared to it
Drone delivery should just be add a random mech instead of discover in my opinion, limiting the possibility of getting a boom reaver, omega devastator or ziliax would tone down Mad genuis just enough, ofcourse it would still have those moments but less frequent.
Dr. Boom is a problem but I think it's a problem only because warrior has too much removal along with mechs that also are removal making the mech generation OP
problem is put a card that generates infinite rush value un a class that have "60" health per game that ALSO have card generation and good removal options in early and late game.

This match clearly defines why i loved the face shaman and face hunter metas. Instead of a 25 min match every game it was more like a 5-10 matches, win or lose it didnt matter as by turn 7 you either won or ran out of steam and would concede. This was more fun to me as i could play games on my break instead off having to set aside at least 2 hours.
My Doctor Boom change: 7 manas: If you played it for its cast cost disabled his hero power by 2 turns. Omega: If you paid 10 manas disables your hero power by 1 turn instead. Or just add some kind of lapses betwen hero power uses.
Dr boom needs seven hero powers one of which should be some kind of bomb toss, sacrifice 1-4 armor to deal that much damage to a random enemy. Secondly more importantly mechs shouldn't have rush. Other than the 3 x 1/1. That aspect of boom makes it stupid.
I like that a lot, especially the armor sacrifice thing... I also imagine some neutral minion with a battlecry like "eat some enemy armor, gain that much life" or so

Honestly, Boom having rush and 1/6 to discover something is nuts, especially since that discovery has rush automatically. 7 armor for 2 mana is pretty unfair too. Honestly, make him 9 mana and remove the discover effect.

That Shudderwock was very strange, I think it was a bug between forked light and ancestral... like, forked was casted, it shouldn't because there was only 1 minion on the board, and maybe because it was casted, and it shouldn't the ancestral didn't go off... that was very weird...
it's not a battlecry. it's an affect that lasts as long as the hero is active but I agree. getting to deal with each threat instantly is a bit powerful
I feel your frustration, man... Control warrior is super frustrating & boring. It's the GOATS of hearthstone. Boring but has a high win percentage... So most warriors run it.
I feel like a good change to Dr. Doom is to make the hero power literally just "Big Red Button". No one knows what it's going to do until it's hit. But you still want to hit it every turn just in case it's delivery drone :P

I’ve been absolutely loving this Shaman deck. The only down side is if you go up against the Tempo/Aggro Beast Warrior. Unless you have Scheme early. You get shit on.

When I play Hagatha vs Boom, she consistently gives me way more value than my Opponent's Boom. For me the real thing is, the only card that counters Dr Boom's late game value is Hagatha, making other classes unable to play control
One way you could nerf doctor boom is rather then have the hero power change randomly, there could be an order to what the hero power will be, and Drone Delivery could be last. Could start off with Summon 3 1/1, 1 damage to all enemies, gain 7 armor, 3 damage to an enemy, and then delivery drone, then start over again.
They will either have to nerf Dr. Boom or all the bombs in the next few months. Reason 1: Dr. Boom is way overpowered and rng heavy* (ofcourse they get delivery drone every second turn) Reason 2: None of the bomb cards have any counterplay whatsoever and its completely non interactive (even worse than Conceal was back in the day and they had to nerf it) Reason 3: Dr. Boom will be in 100% of all warrior decks in the next 9 months, and the only thing that can really beat the bombs is Tempo ,so unless they print way too much and to strong tempo cards (not really fun) ,the bombs will be a thing for the next 9 months aswell (not really fun) Reason 4: Omega devastator ,the single most bs card for the next 9 months ( every warrior has basically 4 in their deck) Warrior has way to many bs cards and we still have a few expansions in this rotation, so power creep or warrior supremacy (both of which are horrible for the game) *rng heavy ,meaning its power is completely dependend on rng ,but worst case is still way to good
I disagree. Dr boom is not an issue the issues was the other hero cards rotating. I assume there will be others later on in the year so just wait. About your bomb cards, bombs are fine and they are fun to use so just back off there, Omega devastator is fine on its own. The problem is Omega Assembly/Delivery Drone but other mechs that get released will dilute the pool and make Omega Devastator fine. Stupid res priest is more annoying to play than warrior.
i'm new to the game. it seems like warrior generally didn't get much love the last years? so they decided to give him a card that lets him win? 7 armor? aoe dmg...discover a mech...all mechs have rush? who thought this is a balanced card?
Not when it's just as cancerous like the shaman deck drawing the game out till the end. They really just need to delete elysiana or replace the cards already in the deck and make the new cards cost 1 or something
so, i got 2 things to talk about: first - dr kaboom outclasses any other hero card we have in standard; while hagatha gives you infinite value, half of the shaman card sux, specially the classic/basic ones; meanwhile, zuljin sounds more like bloodreaver guldan giving you an almost full board worth of beasts+rushes but even tho, its hero power is meh and any targaretable spell may hit your face or your minion's. now, kaboon's hero power, despite being based on rng, gives you enough options to control the board and even when it does not, you will get 7 armor for 2 mana. also lets not forget that almost every minion of yours will have rush, AND you can discover one of the most powerfull type of minions in the game that also have insane synergy with your deck, hence the reasons why i belive it should be nerfed - to match other hero card's power level. finally, one other thing that bothers me is how underated control vs. control matchus are - this one took about half an hour, but an aggro deck would be granted the very same thing, winning by turn 5 or so. i wish hearthstone matches could consider other things than just "winning or losing" when granting you starts. minions destroyed, cards played, number of turns taken, etc. but i know that, in order to do so, we would need to either change the whole ranked system, like, instead of stars, having a number-bases system, like PDL, or just ignore it for good (wich is prob the most realistic one).

hey, I just faced a bomb warrior, so I kept my hand at 10 cards constantly and risked milling a good card instead of drawing bombs. was this a good plan?
Just remove rush from Dr. Boom and it would be good. You already get stuffs and armors and damage, no need to be rush on everything. Or Drone Delivery would need to be Spell Delivery at least and if you got mechs left in had rush them all you like.
I enjoy control warrior - because I've always enjoyed control in card games, and indeed my first legend push was with control warrior way back in classic. That said, the current iteration can be very dicey at times - sometimes Mad Genius just doesn't cooperate well (it's powerful, but it's of course very RNG), and when it comes to control mirrors, Elisiana can be a back breaker, as well as incidental RNG rolls. Had a mirror-ish yesterday - myself regular full control, my opponent the semi-bomb variety (personally I'm not a huge fan of the half-bomb style; besides the RoS Dr Boom it just doesn't bring enough to the table for my liking, and sacrifices a lot to activate that one card). Anywho, I was winning in terms of value and cards, with my opponent being one or two cards down despite having used both Omega Assembly (to my none). However, once he also duplicated his Elisiana, I was pretty confident it would go to fatigue. However, the difference in card quality... woah. To my cards like Security Bot and Cleave, he got Dimensional Ripper and Boom Reaver. Hell, on the second Elisiana he even freaking got Omega Assembly. XD As if that's not bad enough, he ended up getting 2-3 of those faerie shroud 3/7 mechs, along with enough Security Bots that he ended getting one to stick, and between that and the huge value Elisiana cards he won a game that, on average, should've been a tie. Essentially, that's the way to beat control warrior - any deck that can hit the turn timer without being deprived of good plays. Prelate/Undatakah paladin would actually have a chance if it wasn't so vulnerable before actually solidifying the Undatakah.
Warrior is the only class holding a lid on rogue (literally its only bad MU), but sure, let's whip the lemmings into an anti warrior frenzy. Toast thinking with his a$$ again
ive started playing again this last year, and i think this shit was way more fun without magnestism, heros, rush, QUESTS.... i played the one season quests came out and got rank 2 as F2P, they just make too many new bull shit things all the time so you need to buy cards. I remember when it first came out and was so fun. Now its a mix for me
Nerfing Dr. Boom would just be giving delivery drone either a rework or a mana cap. Can't even make blast shield weaker, because of the whole Dr. 7 thing
Change his battlecry to "Give all mechs in your hand and deck rush." Effectively nerfs delivery drone without touching what makes the card interesting or unique and without doing much to kill the power level of the card as a whole. It would just make it less oppressive.

I've been reading a lot of comments about how strong the Dr. Boom hero card is - and I totally agree. However, I think that ALL of the Hero cards are frankly too strong. Boom and Hagatha in control decks essentially allow for infinite value and Zul'Jin allows for a massive board-swing / game winning card that's arguably as good or better than Gul'Dan on the turn it's played. I believe they should remove ALL of the Hero based cards (or give them to everyone) because it makes it somewhat unfair to play for those who don't have them. It's not hard to see why Warrior and Shaman are the two best control decks at the moment - it's because they have access to infinite value hero powers that can generate them constant value to victory.

I think removing the 'mech' tag from omega devastator would be a pretty good indirect nerf to Dr. Boom and control warrior in general.

Hagatha minion battlecry dont triggers on shudderwock if for example you pick forked lighting and opponent doesn't have at least 2 minions

He had lethal setup for like 5 turns at the end there, and was so triggered he never went for it.

first - dr kaboom outclasses any other hero card we have in standard; while hagatha gives you infinite value, half of the shaman card sux, specially the classic/basic ones; meanwhile, zuljin sounds more like bloodreaver guldan giving you an almost full board worth of beasts+rushes but even tho, its hero power is meh and any targaretable spell may hit your face or your minion's. now, kaboon's hero power, despite being based on rng, gives you enough options to control the board and even when it does not, you will get 7 armor for 2 mana. also lets not forget that almost every minion of yours will have rush, AND you can discover one of the most powerfull type of minions in the game that also have insane synergy with your deck, hence the reasons why i belive it should be nerfed - to match other hero card's power level.
finally, one other thing that bothers me is how underated control vs. control matchus are - this one took about half an hour, but an aggro deck would be granted the very same thing, winning by turn 5 or so. i wish hearthstone matches could consider other things than just "winning or losing" when granting you starts. minions destroyed, cards played, number of turns taken, etc. but i know that, in order to do so, we would need to either change the whole ranked system, like, instead of stars, having a number-bases system, like PDL, or just ignore it for good (wich is prob the most realistic one).
I could go either way on whether or not Doctor Boom should be nerfed, but it might be sufficient to remove Omega Devastator's status as a mech.

Just remove rush from Dr. Boom and it would be good. You already get stuffs and armors and damage, no need to be rush on everything. Or Drone Delivery would need to be Spell Delivery at least and if you got mechs left in had rush them all you like.

I enjoy control warrior - because I've always enjoyed control in card games, and indeed my first legend push was with control warrior way back in classic. That said, the current iteration can be very dicey at times - sometimes Mad Genius just doesn't cooperate well (it's powerful, but it's of course very RNG), and when it comes to control mirrors, Elisiana can be a back breaker, as well as incidental RNG rolls.
Had a mirror-ish yesterday - myself regular full control, my opponent the semi-bomb variety (personally I'm not a huge fan of the half-bomb style; besides the RoS Dr Boom it just doesn't bring enough to the table for my liking, and sacrifices a lot to activate that one card). Anywho, I was winning in terms of value and cards, with my opponent being one or two cards down despite having used both Omega Assembly (to my none). However, once he also duplicated his Elisiana, I was pretty confident it would go to fatigue.
However, the difference in card quality... woah. To my cards like Security Bot and Cleave, he got Dimensional Ripper and Boom Reaver. Hell, on the second Elisiana he even freaking got Omega Assembly. XD As if that's not bad enough, he ended up getting 2-3 of those faerie shroud 3/7 mechs, along with enough Security Bots that he ended getting one to stick, and between that and the huge value Elisiana cards he won a game that, on average, should've been a tie.
Essentially, that's the way to beat control warrior - any deck that can hit the turn timer without being deprived of good plays. Prelate/Undatakah paladin would actually have a chance if it wasn't so vulnerable before actually solidifying the Undatakah.

ive started playing again this last year, and i think this shit was way more fun without magnestism, heros, rush, QUESTS.... i played the one season quests came out and got rank 2 as F2P, they just make too many new bull shit things all the time so you need to buy cards. I remember when it first came out and was so fun. Now its a mix for me

Here is how you nerf boom. Make delivery drone not a thing anymore and make blast shield gain 5 armor instead of 7.
Nerfing Dr. Boom would just be giving delivery drone either a rework or a mana cap. Can't even make blast shield weaker, because of the whole Dr. 7 thing
Change his battlecry to "Give all mechs in your hand and deck rush."
Effectively nerfs delivery drone without touching what makes the card interesting or unique and without doing much to kill the power level of the card as a whole. It would just make it less oppressive.

I've been reading a lot of comments about how strong the Dr. Boom hero card is - and I totally agree. However, I think that ALL of the Hero cards are frankly too strong. Boom and Hagatha in control decks essentially allow for infinite value and Zul'Jin allows for a massive board-swing / game winning card that's arguably as good or better than Gul'Dan on the turn it's played. I believe they should remove ALL of the Hero based cards (or give them to everyone) because it makes it somewhat unfair to play for those who don't have them. It's not hard to see why Warrior and Shaman are the two best control decks at the moment - it's because they have access to infinite value hero powers that can generate them constant value to victory.
Maybe Blizzard should just print more shity mechs for warrior so that delivery drone card pool is worse
