Motley Crue is by far the best heavy metal band there has ever been! They changed the face and sound of rock and roll in the '80s! I will continue to go to their concerts as long as they can still rock! Here's to you Motley Crue! You guys are definitely my favorite band! Thanks for all the years of the awesome music!
Huge Crue fan, have been 81, but they aren't heavy metal, they're Glam Rock. Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Pirest, they're Heavy Metal.
What's wild about Nikki saying that he plays music instead of doing terrible things to people. This woman is, clueless because that is an absolutely true statement. What he said makes complete sense. Playing music kept me out of trouble.
@@stevenwhite8936 Yup you’re right. Oops! I don’t know how I screwed that one up. Just gettin old I guess! 🤷🏻♀️😂 Tabitha was a redhead & I’m pretty sure she started later in the 80 or 90s
I played 'Stairway to Heaven' backwards. It's a sad tale of a lady returning the stairway for a full refund but she had to settle for store credit. The store clerks echoed with laughter.
I remember the first time I heard and seen photos of the boyz. I was 13 and in grade 7. A hot 80s chick in my class brought in the cassette. Teased hair tight jeans camel toe and all. Fn hot! She hit play and it was like I was injected with metal. Like nothing I had ever experienced before. These boys were badasses. Since then nothing has ever been such a polar change as hearing Motley for the first time. She's got the looks that kill. Yes sir Mr. Motley!
I was 12, 1982, and bought Too Fast for Love for a dollar from the clearance bin. It was the original version, not the remixed release that came slightly later. I'd never heard of Motley Crue, but going by the cover I guessed it wasn't pop! It blew me away, I loved it. The raw guitar sound was what I liked most, and it was different on every track. I still miss hearing the slightly different versions on that album, I've never been able to find them online, or on CD. I've still got the vinyl, I just haven't had a record player for 30 years, and I always taped my albums when I got home and played the tapes, so most of my albums are near mint, except that the inner sleeves usually ended up on my bedroom wall as posters. Until Smokin'in the Boys Room came out, I felt like I was the only one in Australia that had heard of Motley Crue! I saw them in 2015, it was kind of sad, very few people in the audience knew any of the songs. They supported Kiss at the V8 Supercars race, and your race tickets included the Concert at no extra cost, so it was not a select audience, just a few people that hung around to hear Kiss play "I was made for loving you" mostly, it made me ashamed to be South Australian.
Great documentary, thanks for sharing, I’ve only watched it a few times plus ! Lol! Sure takes me back to my teenage years . Good times , great songs ! I still love Motley Crue ❤
I had an “auto reverse” Walkman back in the day, and one day it suddenly stopped “flipping” the tape, but instead started playing playing the tape in reverse. This was at the height of the “Satanic Rock” push, and a lot of albums really did have backwards shit. Some were obvious, but others were “iffy” at best.
I remember hearing Shout at the Devil in '83 and it was definitely edgy for the times. They were hardcore on a different level but had pop appeal to reach the masses, powerful at the time. They didn't break new ground musically but had image and attitude in spades. GNR and Metallica were leaders as well a little later. Great American 80's Rock and Roll bands. Motley Crue's contribution to music shouldn't be ignored, they had a huge impact on the 1980's.
God I love seeing early Crue wow friggin HOT! I remember my brother showing me that Shout at the Devil album he just bought when it came out. I opened that record jacket and saw them? I went NUTS! I was 10 years old. Still love that CD and listen to it often.

Nikki wrote the songs and lyrics which created the template for their street wise dangerous heavy catalog that also had elite level hooks and pop sensibilities. In an ere where Eddie started a revolution of speed players who copied his style usually not as well. Mick was not that style. He was more a metal keith Richards. He came up with more massive catchy heavy riffs then any player of the decade of the 80's. Incredible tone and gutterall power that like Nikki one could tap their toes too. Then Vince had this machine gun explode in your face delivery on the fast stuff and a smooth as honey tenor which was juxtaposed to the raw power the band pumped out. Great band
Like really someone is really going to sit there and play a whole album backwards just to look for some unlikely satanic messages but then along comes the CD which can't be played backwards no matter how much you try

Tommy filled the back end in with a frenetic all out assault on the drums in the vein of Bill Ward and Keith Moon. Mick is so underrated to me. Great band
If I was going to put a backward message on my album it would be to buy more of my albums.
Like really someone is really going to sit there and play a whole album backwards just to look for some unlikely satanic messages but then along comes the CD which can't be played backwards no matter how much you try
