Your videos always bring a smile to my face. I literally watch your videos when I'm stressed and they never fail to help me relax for a while. Helambu is such a beautiful village. I loved the kitchen aesthetics of all the households; so warm, cozy, and well organized! Lastly, all the respect to your dad for giving back to his community.
I know you all wanted your dad to retire but I honestly think he should start a school or an institution where youngsters can learn wood carving. The skills that he has has the potential to offer careers to thousands and most importantly save and even expand our Himalayan culture. I am very surprised that non of your siblings inherited or even tried to learn this skill.
@@Pasang46 it’s a very long story sis ma kunai din bhanchu..everything changed after my parents nasty divorce early 2000’s maa things got worse! at one point we all just wanted to leave this life and move abroad. Every story has a dark secret sis.. Also, dad has helped hundreds of youngsters from his village & so many youngsters from ktm in his prime time. Esto din pani thiyo school bata ghar ma lunch khana auda..we would eat food with 20 men from his village (sabbai kaam sikna ayeko dad ko factory maa) they would stay for months. Even years! He was a very generous person. People who have worked with dad have started their own businesses, kunai bides ma well established bhaera baseko cha. Dherai cha sis kahani kunai din bhanchu.. For now we’re just happy dad ko paila ko kaam haru herera. We’re all in a very good place now and so is everybody else who’s worked with my father.

The only reason why I brought this up is because I also belong to one of the Himalayan Buddhist community of Nepal, and I assume you are also aware how our communities are structured. Our identity is originated to the region that we belong to. Dolpos of Dolpa, Humli of Humla, Hyolmo of helambu and so on. We are khambas of Khambu region and our ancestors immigrated to terai regions. Unlike Sherpas and Newars we lacked a culture of legacy building and sharing because of which most of our youngsters including myself had to be migrate to foreign countries in pursuit of better purpose. Today we have achieved everything in terms of materialistic wealth but our language and culture is in the verge of getting extinct. For all these years, festivities such as Loshar and Saka Dawa has been booster that has kept our culture alive and kept us united but our language is still in danger as youngster of my age are busy with their personal matters. I am one of the very few who speaks our language which is very similar to that of Hyolmo, and even I cannot remember many slang words now. Art such as wood carving, Thanka, statue making is an integral part of our culture. You look at Newars, they do that as a family legacy because of which Newari Buddhist community such as Bajrcharya, Maharjan, Chitrakar, Manandhar etc. has a very reputed image with in the community. I am glad that your dad had been able to share his knowledge and skills to so many young souls already and I hope they will continue his legacy and pass it down to the next generation.

Hamro gau bata nagaik cha nakote but my husband always says that i cant walk so gakai xaina 😂😂 I really love everything about helambu 😊but road it really sucks😢 mero husband le kura gartheyo helambu ma katmar gardaina its holy places back then i have huge respect and love for helambu❤❤&my father in law used to say that hard work of your father too and really appericate your fathers works too❤!!
