- Asics Gel-Cumulus 26 was released on March 1st and is already the 26 version of the popular budget daily trainer.
It's the budget version of the Nimbus let's say, but that doesn't mean it's not any good.
I'm currently testing them out and in the meanwhile you can already enjoy my first impressions and first run!
in the past i've also ran in the Gel-Cumulus 23 so i'll do a small comparison with these in the full review once i've reached 100Km in the Gel-Cumulus 26!
If you would like to see the full review once I've completed 100Km then don't forget to subscribe to the channel and click on the notification bell!
Also if you liked the video then do not forget to click that like button, this helps out the channel a lot to further grow and reach more runners!
See you in the next one.

Great video very informative 👍🏾
Glad that you liked it and took the time to comment!
Nice one. Did mentioned some very important points.
Glad you liked it!
10-12km per hour...... I havent heard anybody speak in those terms. Thats a lot of math you are having us do.
Hi, if I may ask, what would you have preferred me saying? I’m always open for suggestions to improve my future videos. Thank you for your comment!
@@gofora_run it should be min/km or min/mile. With what you provided we would have to divide by 60 and then take the inverse of that to get a sense of what speeds you are referring to. This is standard in all videos ive seen on youtube.
Thank you for your input, will definitely keep it in mind for future videos! Much appreciated.
it is ok to use metric
I know, but I can understand the remark from ChickenNoodle883, I do have a lot of viewers from the United States and such also, there the metric system is a bit less used, and to be honest it doesn't take me a long time to put an additional information bar on screen with the equivalent in miles 🙂
Is Novablast 4 or Cumulus 26 better for the Passatore 100Km? 180cm x73kg Time about 10 hours
If it's anything like the 25 the Cumulus is a waste not as comfy as the nimbus and not as fast as the novablast it's a good shoe regardless but sort of pointless.
I would definitely not choose the Cumulus for this, you will not have enough energy return and after a while they will wear your down. If you really need to choose between the 2, then go for the Novablast 4 👍
Maybe you don't know this 100km race well or have never done it: look at the track please! Last year I ran 2 100km on the flat with the Novablast 3 and an excellent time under 10 hours, but here we are talking after 35 km of ups and downs to climb for 17km up to 1000m and then descend for as many 17km up to km65 and, without looking at the weight of the shoe, the most suitable one would be the Gel Nimbus, but certainly not the Novablast 4 because I believe that on the downhill the your quads and kneecaps would really hurt. So I believe that the Gel Cumulus, already tested in similar sections, gives a better guarantee and is an excellent compromise for keeping the race time and, more importantly, your legs in good shape!@@gofora_run
