@timgreene8403 LoL! what do you know about Melvin Lindsey. You will probably never see my question, but when I saw you mention him I had to ask...being a chocolate city native myself.
Thank You WHUR-FM for playing this album back in the day, one of the original Quiet Storm hits. Melvin Lindsey! You where the best. SATURDAY NIGHT NO COMMERCIALS ALL CLASS NO TRASH...
@tobor58 LoL! what do you know about Melvin Lindsey. You will probably never see my question, but when I saw you mention him I had to ask...being a chocolate city native myself.
This is one of my most favorite songs! It's beautiful! I remember WHUR playing this but I wore a groove in the record playing this over and over again!
This is the first song I ever heard him sing. I was about fourteen years old. I loved him then and I love him even more now. I'm 58 and that's a long time. I don't think there is anyone I have had such strong emotions for that I've never met. With that said, Peabo you are everything to me.
This is also one of the first songs I remember by Peabo. Heard it on Howard University radio (WHUR). Brings back memories of my seeing a lady across the room in a club and inspired me shake off my fear to go to talk to her. I still think of her and the good times we had. That why this song is my all time favorite Peabo Bryson song!
Love this right here .. allll mannnn... such mystical magical memories, sneaking in her window and sneaking out before her mom came home from working the overnight shift
Yes i remember those days, recently WHURWorld HD2 played this song, and i couldn't believe it!! I havent' t heard this beautiful song since the 80's on WHUR.Yes back in the day things were a little bit more simple and not so complicated, even the music! Wow such a special and classic song. Hey WHURWORLD HD2 plays alot of Melvin Lindseys favorites, it's really worth checking out.
@straightism1962 LoL! what do you know about Melvin Lindsey. You will probably never see my question, but when I saw you mention him I had to ask...being a chocolate city native myself.
WJZZ, radio station in The Motor City, I remember the times well. Couldn't wait to find out who it was. Back then they didn't play the same songs in a taped order.
You at the radio station and watching out the front window, as you did your radio thing. Funny, you came to my sister's house, I opened the door and, you one of the master communicators, were Speechless! Endearing! Gray Volvo or Maroon, Chevelle Super Sport! Kick ass! You were SWEET! CHARLIE BROWN!!!
Wow - where was I in 1976 let's see in California- I missed this one- but all my friends back in NYC, remember this cut. Great one Peabo-- Thanks for posting
1 of my favorite...Lol it's funny how he telling this lady about another lady... Remind me when Phil Bailey from Earth Wind & Fire said he couldn't believe couples used the song"Reason" n their wedding...He would cringe like did y'all pay attn 2 the words...😂 I do love the song however it's not a wedding song that's 4 sure
@zebop nothing wrong with that.a real man can express himself,.in the right way....and the strongest of us know how to give compliments to all...there is no other like peabo, teddy, and the list goes on.

ONE OF THE MOST WICKED CROONERS OF THE TIME ! AS WELL AS ONE OF THE LAST OF THE WICKED ROMANCERS ! DAMN GOT TO MAKE A (B) CALL 1 SHAME ON ME LOL
You are a lovely lady, at least to me. :-) I'm sure others feel the same.
@mastertung7 Isn't that the truth, and not in an overly sensitive way or "love man" way, but a real way. That's probably why I like him so much.

i hate this album cover. i never understood why they made his 'fro look like that. It's an over-airbrushed mess.
That was the style then. I was fourteen when this came out. I thought then as I do now, he is fine as hell!
