Thank you for your tips Amy ! One thing I think is very interesting here is the double standard in the luxury community (not just Amy) on how we treat and report on quality issues. Tarnished hardware on a brand new handbag is a major quality issue, and had the bag been for any other brand, a big deal would have been made out of it. When it comes to Hermes quality issues (which I myself personally experienced on some of their shoes) luxury youtubers keep them on the hush hush , or never report on them or if they do, they kind of mention them quickly in the middle of other things almost dismissing them or pretending they don't exist. Often blaming it on "it is made by hand so it won't be perfect". But when it comes to other brands mostly Chanel and Louis vuitton, they become inspector Gadget, holding a magnifying glass to the bag looking for any smallest imperfections to make a whole video series about. Why do you thing that is @fashionablyAmy ? I'm asking genuinely. Do you think dumping on Chanel and LV quality has become trendy so people do it for click bait ? Or is it just an example on putting Hermes on a pedestal even when not warranted.

I think the main difference is that Hermes has more consistently taken the issues seriously once reported and rectified it quickly, whereas Chanel and LV tend to blame the issues on the customer first and unless you insisted it is a real issue or you are a VIP customer, they won’t give you a resolution promptly. The frustration with post-sale customer care is more common with Chanel and LV.

To leave or take the stickers off is a personal choice, but like you I remove them. I am more afraid of tarnish than scratches. To be honest I don’t even worry about scratches since the hw can be replaced.The Kelly belt is such a good one! Great video ❤

I can’t get the stickers off my Kelly belts 🤦🏾‍♀️. I can’t even get the 3 giraffes to help 😉 but you scared me. I ran upstairs and pullllled those stickers RIGHT off. Took a minute but I did it! Thanks for the video and the tips!

FYI I do use orange shield for most of my brand new bags for the past 5-10 years of owning H with no issues! Give the shininess and protective. True on rose gold studs having issues but otherwise good with orangshield! Not sponsored lol ❤

Do you think that they use the same kelly lock for the bags and shoes & belts? My day sneaker shoes the kelly lock is rose gold but oh my god it looks so RED it puts me off everytime I try to reach for it, it definitely does not look like the same shade as the RG in your birkin or your belt
