  • Healthy Forests ~ Abundant Wildlife ~ Sporting Traditions
The Ruffed Grouse Society is North America's foremost conservation organization dedicated to preserving our sporting traditions by creating healthy forests for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and other wildlife. Without young forest habitat, populations of grouse and woodcock would not flourish and our rich sporting traditions could not be passed on to the next generation. See more about how the Ruffed Grouse Society preserves grouse, woodcock and hunting at, www.ruffedgrousesociety.org.

All good information! Need a solid, sustainable market for forest products, creating the economic climate that puts a demand on saw-timber, pulp, veneer lumber, etc. Politically, a strong rebuttal to anyone that says "cutting trees is bad for wildlife" BULL!

When I was growing up around home, had all kinds of grouse, the turkey population has overgrown them and killed their babies. Shame on the state of Virginia and Tennessee, and all for not protecting the grouse population. All they cared about was selling turkey license, and now the grouse are no more Shame on you all.
