SEC and Big 10 split 21m per conference and Notre Dame receives 13m 😂 make it make sense please!!
If I close my eyes while Matt Campbell is speaking,I would swear that it is Bill Walton.
Like Matt Campbell, a lot. A hell of a coach.
Best interview so far!
what? lol
Josh, that might be the best interview I’ve ever heard you involved in as you and Coach were outstanding! War Eagle!
Matt Cambell is a perfect embodiment of the midwest
Dallas, Texas here. Love the show Josh! 🤠🤗 What happened to Academy??
Watching from waynesburg, Pa
Here from Wekiva springs FL
Mr Campbell is a very understated speaker which means that when he speaks you have to listen to him otherwise you're going to miss something very important. You have to respect that
I have loved coach Campbell since he was at Toledo. When ever Ryan Day leaves ohio state I'd like to have him as our coach. That is if we can't get Luke or Vrabs.
I’d like to see last years preseason conference odds compared to end of season
Laurel, MS tuning in
i’m from french camp ms!
How did you manage to drive past Lawrence, KS twice and not stop to see Lance Leipold?
Dude I was praying for that interview😅
@@chasefrench1864 If I had to guess it might be the fact all of our facilities are under construction atm.
i'm an OSU fan and I think Ryan Day gets alot of hate for losing to Michigan however i dont think he should be fired he has a great overall record as HC and he is in the conversation every year his standards are just as high as ours also i think he is a great recruiter. No team can win it all every year - even Saban who is considered the greatest college HC of all time didnt win the natty or SEC title every year
Such a fan of Campbell! So many of the Big 12 coaches are great. Kleiman, Gundy, Leipold, Whittingham.
West Palm Beach here
Tulsa, OK here
Preach it brother.
Man shouted out Portland state! Go Vikings✊🏼
Funny part about Ryan Day is, this is his first HC job ever, and he has excelled with recruiting and won a lot of games and yet he would still tell you he hasnt achieved all he can.
He's going to figure out how to reach that next level, either at OSU or elsewhere, and then you all are going to hate him for a whole new set of reasons.
I think he figures it out this year. Haters can choke.
Go Irish from Tumon, Guam!

He sounds like a great coach, but also sounds like the cop with no legs from family guy😅
Go Dawgs! Sic Em!
I want somebody to look at me the way you look at Matt Campbell when he's talking
Lets say Jameson Williams and Marv Harrison don’t get injured. All of a sudden Kirby has no titles, but he’s still the same coach, a great one. Reverse is true for Ryan Day
lol
It's almost as if injuries are part of football.
If a player gets injured during a game, they should postpone the game until he's fully healed 😂
I legit had the same argument with my friend. Georgia had to hurt those dudes cause they had no answer. Injuries are apart of the sport though
You guys are all missing the point. Uga couldve lost to tcu and he would be the same coach. Honey, not water iykyk
We don’t play hypotheticals here at Pate State , sorry bub
“ESPN isn’t the bad guy” I’d believe that if their employees weren’t slandering and plotting against my team all year. They also let Sankey have his own college gameday when in reality they should be calling out the dude for his greed and his want to alter college football as we know it
Y’all gotta get a better mic for your traveling shows
Still waiting for a cage match between Josh’s Memaw and Thomas Rhett’s Mamaw
If you're going to leave Nashville, just go east, cross the county line, and you're in Wilson County, TN. They make a career of taking a bunch of stuff away from Nashville, whether it's the State Fair, NASCAR top-level racing, various industries, assorted shows (guns, model trains, etc.), Dancing Lights of Christmas, etc., etc. And they have an Academy Sports & Outdoors store in Mt. Juliet (the only Mt. Juliet in the world). College Football? Got that too, with a school that once lost a game 222-0 and yet also holds the top spot in average margin of victory in games played against Alabama in the 20th century.
Is Josh Pate a Iowa State fan? He mentions them often
That's his alma mater I'm pretty sure
@@Thunderstickgm The Internet says, "(Josh Pate) received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992."
@eekus1494 Not the same Josh Pate. The one you're talking about is a screenwriter who's 54 years old. No way this Pate is 54.
This Josh grew up in Columbus, Georgia. From what I remember from visiting down there, it's Auburn country.
What ifs... The fact is the kick was missed and he lost the game. Doesn't matter by one point or by 10, that's Ohio State and the standard they have. Fair or not, this year it's championship or Day is fired. They spent 11 million dollars so now results are a must.
Ryan Oneday button.
Move Clemson and Florida state to the sec take vandy send them to the acc, then the sec would truly be the power house conference with no debate
Waco tx
Saban in 16 years went 206-29
Day at 4 years (if you multiply his current record x4 to =16) you get 224-32
Insane to project I know. But Ryan Day has decades of experience to pickup. Future is hyper-nova bright at Ohio State.
In the big ten 😂 settle down with your numbers buddy, where day is at if he makes it to 16 years with Ohio State he should surpass Kirby smart and Nick Saban, but that means nothing when you coach a team that plays in a conference that is barely a power 5 conference 🍻
Miami acc champs 2024 book it
I’m okay with just ESPN having the CFP. Now I won’t have to buy different streaming services to watch.
Has ESPN left the ACC yet? Asking for a friend.....
I pretty sure no.
Michigan Fans don’t hate Ryan Day… They rejoice over his presence. If you have an IQ over room temp. you understand why.
Days great like John cooper keep him ten years pls
How was the pressure in Michigan when Ohio State was beating them 15 out of 16 games just prior to their 3 game win streak?
Cooper was better than Day by far.... He had a bunch of NFL ALL Pros and HOF's. John Cooper also inherited a dumpster fire from Earle Bruce. Urban left Ryan a ready made dynasty.@@yung1smitty
Held on to harbough for 8 years and took him almost 6 to beat OSU. Would’ve been 7 if he wasn’t scared of losing his job and cancelled the game. 7 years before a bowl win. Crazy. We’re good with Day over here. If I was a scUM fan I’d want them revolving coaches as much as possible but they aren’t and yall are cooked this year and for the foreseeable future lol
Harbaugh went to a super bowl, beat one of he greatest football teams ever in Carroll's SC Team with a bunch of nerds at Stanford. Day's resume isn't even in the same filing cabinet as Harbaugh. Ohya don't forget he won a natty with a bunch of three stars while Day had an NFL pro bowl roster on offense. Ryan Day has more five stars than the rest of the B1G combined. Harbaugh lost to Meyer cause Meyer had superior players and was an elite coach. As soon as Urban left the tide started to change. Now Michigan is the defending national champion and Ryan Day's program is about players getting paid and getting beat up on the football field by three stars.@@davidmoore9357
JP asks A+ questions in his interviews. Why did Matt Campbell sound like he was trying to whisper?
If a coach has to motivate his players to play in a big game…that looks bad on the players
By Josh’s generalized standard.. Larry Coker and Ed Orgeron are phenomenal head coaches because winning is supposedly tough in college football when there is no parody of talent. As is the case in the NFL.
this isn't remotely what I said.
If getting dethroned by Jim Harbaugh's army of three stars. While your roster consists of three to four, five stars every recruiting class. Ryan has went 9-8 against the top ten while Urban was 13-4. Ohio State has more five stars than the rest of the big ten combined yet they haven't won the conference in three years. You say this is a good coaching job by that standard Larry Coker did a phenomenal job at Miami cause his team won a National Championship.@@LateKickwithJoshPate
@@someguyio3654 You are delusional dude. High ranked rosters do not guarantee results, even with elite coaches at the helm. If high ranked rosters lived up to their expectation every year, then whoever got the #1 class would win the natty every year and as we know that isn’t the case. Ohio state is in the conversation every year, no idea how that is a problem. Oh right, buckeyes fans are a bunch of whiny bitches that’s why. If your team doesn’t win a natty every other year you all come out of the woodwork with pitchforks and torches. Ridiculous
Crying 😢 Day! Back to back to back wins over Ohio/B1G Champs oh 15-0 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 〽️GO BLUE
RTR!
…right down the toilet bowl!!
This is not a sarcastic question: Why does Josh Pate constantly go to bat for Ryan Day and OSU?!
Also, notice he has not talked about Tony Alford leaving for Michigan yet...🤔
Because he's one of the best CFB coaches and is a missed field goal away from beating Georgia and having a natty, yet has his name thrown in the "hot seat" discussions any time they lose to another elite team. I actively root against OSU, but there's no denying they're a great program and Ryan Day is a great coach
@@Xoltris but.... you just said they keep losing to elite teams lol
@@Xoltris You have little knowledge about coaching.
Because he's a very intelligent man...unlike you. Alford left Ohio State because he wasn't given the raise he asked for. SO he went to Michigan for a 5% raise. Gotta do what ya gotta do for the wife and kids. LIAR, like ALL Michigan Me. He talked about Alford 4 days ago in his FIRST press conference after he left.
Because I constantly get asked about him and my view hasn't changed. - JP
Man am I tired of hearing the words "Ryan Day."
Ohio State should absolutely fire Ryan Day. Please, please fire him. Insert reason here, whatever it takes. (I hate Ohio State, dont be coming at me with logic and facts Pate)
I'm going to let all you know it all is do all the Talking I don't know nothing about football of course I don't think most of you do either
No espn personalities are biased ? Because i can show you all McElroy, Kirk and multiple others going from "FSU deserves to make the playoffs even w/out Jordan Travis" all week of thanksgiving and onto the selection. Then Alabama beats a sorry ass auburn team on a final 30 yard td and the three days leading upto the date of the playoff invitational , "alabama should definitely deserves to be in" because they beat a georgia team that would have curb stomped alabama 8/10 times. Yeah whatever man.
Day is a solid coach. He has 3 league titles and was a FG miss away from winning a Natty. This is the big year. Buckeyes must beat Michigan (I think they will). They must be a major player in the national championship chase in 2024 (I think they will).
Ohio has built the Death Star
@@morrisjackson3898 just hope michigan isn't the X-wing.
apparently to josh we arent allowed to bad talk any coach or else he wont be able to get access to the program what a sell out
I'm sorry what now?
This should be good lol
☕️
OP expected Pate calling out Coach saying Coach Campbell on the hot seat warranting Coach to fight Pate... or Mich fan upset Pate wont dog Day. Prob the latter. Nobody cares about Clones... except Pate.
@@LateKickwithJoshPate did I stutter
People hated on Harbaugh for being weird, but at least he was genuine. Ryan Day dyes his frickin beard. I cannot think of anything more fake than that (or weird actually). That sums him up and that's why people dislike him.
Does he actually dye his beard? Who the hell knows? More importantly, who the hell cares?
Harbaugh did genuinely start cheating when his job was on the line. He then genuinely hauled ass to the first NFL team that would have him.
@@Bob-ig4bi If Harbaugh cheated, as you claim, why did the NCAA release a statement that he knew nothing about what Stalions was doing? Seriously, you Buckeyes just make things up and act like they're true.
This is your argument? Wow. Harbaugh was the orchestrator of the biggest football scandal in many years. Michigan’s program is falling as fast as the titanic. The “Michigan man” leaving Michigan and leaving them in NCAA shambles.
@@erikwill2891 Perhaps you missed the part where the NCAA released a report that states Harbaugh knew nothing about what Stalions did. How does that make him "the orchestrator". Seriously, you Buckeye fans make stuff up and/or take rumors from Buckeye message boards and act as if they're fact.
@@Bob-ig4bi How did "Harbaugh start genuinely cheating" when the NCAA released a report that stated he had no knowledge of what Stalions was doing? Making stuff up and wishing for it to be true (which is what Buckeye fans are doing) is not the same as it actually being true. But feel free to keep coping and making stuff up if it makes you feel better.
Oklahoma will be better than Texas in the sec this year
Haters are going hate regardless ask Notre Dame
Haters gotta hate or they become irrelevant
It’s all about context with Ryan day. Most coaches can win 10 games a year with Ohio st talent. He has constantly underperformed as a coach with that level of talent and although his record is good watch his team play they play incredibly soft and with no anger or aggression.
"anger", lol.
"There's a lot of pain and shame in those eyes.." 😂😂
I think you hit the nail right on the head with that actually, it's that they have talent of a championship team, they just don't have the guts.
I'm indifferent to OSU from a fan standpoint, but I do live in the Columbus area. This is essentially the same sentiment my co-workers express when we discuss CFB.
Agreed. OSU recruits top 5 almost every single year and has always under performed. With the extreme talent differences they have to the rest of the B1G they shouldn't struggle with any of them in the conference. Michigan is the only team remotely close to them and they struggle to recruit top 10 consistently. LOL I've said all along that a Ryan Day led OSU will never win a natty unless something happens with the other teams along the way.
True… What would say PJ Fleck’s record be if he took over for Urban Meyer… Or any other coach for that matter.
Matt Campbell is a huge cry baby. Hookem
Ryan Day lost legitimately to Michigan just once. He lost to cheatin' ass Michigan twice.
Lol ok bud
Excuse after excuse .....
Yeah… they cheated their way to relevance. Everyone outside of Michigan sees their program for what it is… a cheating joke.
Yes Ohio is trash thank you for saying so
It took JIm Harbaugh 16 years to win a National Title. Saban took 13 years. Ryan DAy has been a head coach 5 years
Day started at Ohio State after Myers. It’s not even close to the same situation as Saban or Harbaugh.
@@morganguffey3519 WHO is starting right after Harbaugh. WHO did Harbaugh give a National Championship team to?
@@morganguffey3519 Day had never been a head coach before he was hired by Ohio State. He's now only been a head coach for 5 years.. Harbaugh had been a coach for 16 years and Saban had been a head coach for 13 years, when they won their first
What happen to academy ??? I haven’t seen them in a while @latekickjosh
