HER kids will be there ALLLLL day and will be participating in the actual wedding! It's ok for NOT just HER kids but for ANY kids to NOT be at the reception. The Mama needs to get over it and just enjoy the Adult-Time reception. The ONLY thing I would possibly worry about is for the Mama to pull the UBER-B!TCH CARD and yank her kids from the actual wedding party. Have a back-up plan for that please?Jussssst in case...

The only thing I could suggest of she's a single mom of 3 money can be tight especially with her having to buy a dress shoes for herself and 3 kids
If I was the bride and groom I would propose to pay for a babysitter so like this the family member can't say anything
Yes! I was going to suggest the grandparents pay for a babysitter for the grandkids. Those little kids are going to be so tired (and bored) by the time of the reception.
I want your kids as props to my wedding, then they need to leave. Cold.
I don't understand when people are against kids. It's not like the bride has to babysit. If parents want the responsibility of having them there, then that's their choice. I was never bothered by other people's kids.

If it were me I'd allow for kids to be counted in that kind of dinner, even though they may not eat.

@@nikkihayes9236 yes, I understand...being Portuguese, I have seen many weddings where it is an accepted part of the deal but most of the time, the couples feel forced due to family/cultural pressure...but I am on the receiving end of the gripes...so I have heard a lot !!!

There are plenty of events kids cant go to plus theu be there from 9-5.Thats enough of a compromise. Anytime my family and friends have events that kids cant go to i just accept it.Either o find a sitter and go or dont make a big deal of it .Sis needs to chill!
