Great video. I listen to internet radio frequently on my iPhone. Local stations and internet only stations share my listening time equally. I enjoy digging through the seemingly endless stations available. I also enjoy the sound quality and the ability to connect to my Sony Bluetooth headphones or casting it to the TV. Sometimes I feel guilty because I'm listening to content on my iPhone more than I do on a regular radio. Almost like I am pushing an old friend away. An old friend that has been a big part of my life for 40 plus years. I've spent so many hours doing my version a late night AM band scan and being thrilled with how many far off radio stations I can pick up on a little Panasonic AM radio that my Mom bought for me at a garage sale. Ever since I can remember, whenever possible, I've had a radio of some sort with me. I remember being in my foxhole, when it was my turn to sleep, I would put my headphones on with my Sony Walkman playing music that would help me mentally detach form where I was and what I was doing. I'm confident that some of your content consumers reading this will find it kind of wacky and maybe even weird. But some of your old timers will be able to relate.
Used to do that all the time and this sounds like a great buy and seems to sound great. I will probably buy one of these. Todderbert should be a salesperson for a Radio Shack or Electronics store. I can set that by my bed at night as well.
@@TheCyberspaceCowboy I like the option of listening to my WiFi radio but I do understand that it can all go away. It’s only good as long as the internet exists. Don’t like the idea of using a telephone for a radio. “The correct tool for the correct job, please.” Also remember that using that phone causes the battery to go down. Then I will have no phone. A devoted radio or communications device is very helpful. I’ve been through three major storms and know what it is to not have power for 6 days. Having power and telephone lines down everywhere is not a good thing especially in the hot summertime. And nowhere to recharge a phone much less have it connected to the internet. This internet radio is a tool to help you pick up existing stations much clearer and like a local. Some shortwave stations do come in on the internet radio which I enjoy when I am inside my house to listen. The RF noise in the house is tremendous. To listen to the shortwave or mediumwave I have to go down in the backyard to the outdoor work shed. At this time of the year it’s just too cold outside. And in my neighbourhood I can’t really put up a big antenna.
In the UK we have a brand called Majority which have a line of very similar internet radios, I suspect this uses software from Magic Systech just like theirs do. I have the Majority Kings, which has stereo speakers, DAB, a CD player and an aux socket too!
This is an awesome radio! I just got mine for a neat Christmas present. I’ve been “playing” with this for hours. The equalizer is a very nice thing on this radio. Very nice. But it still doesn’t replace my D 808. But now I can actually have a little radio by my bed or chair without having to go through my computer or phone. A dedicated radio to help listen inside my house is nice. A few international shortwave broadcasters are on also. Thanks again for your help and your videos and channel‼️😃 The equalizer does play through the external output jack. 👍🏻
@@todderbert I hope that this radio doesn’t use Reciva. This one is definitely something I would buy. I liked the CCWiFi a lot but I realize that it will go down before too long. This one would be a great buy. Please let me know if it uses Reciva or some other aggregator.
The remote for the Ocean Digital WR-210N is absolutely identical to the remote that came with my CCrane WiFi 3 Internet Radio. Well yes the Crane remote is labeled CCRANE on the bottom. Otherwise it is identical. And apart from the display - which is much nicer on the Ocean WR-210N - the radios seem awfully similar. Buttons might be in slightly different places but they have the same functions. I suspect that they come from the exact same factory in China. Regardless they both are very nice units.
I have the Grace Digital Mondo+ radio, it is the best device I have purchased. I can listen to radio stations all over the country and the world, I can use it as a blue tooth speaker, I can access my Amazon Prime music and access Amazon playlists and recommended play lists. I can listen to music from a USB drive port. Most of all, I use it to listen to podcasts and search for new podcasts. It even has Google Chromecast built in to it. It has other stuff I haven't discovered yet. I highly recommend it over this Ocean Digital and the CCrane internet radios. The audio quality is very good in my opinion.versio Just don't get burnt and buy the Elite Smart Mondo, it must be the Mondo+. The Elite series is old and won't work because it used that Reciva receiver which went down a few years ago. I would just make sure it is the version with the Chrome-cast, that is the Mondo+
Thank you for the informative and entertaining video. Trying to decide between the WR-210N and WR-23D. My understanding is that 210 has a remote control and possibly easier controls/setup. The WR-23D has FM and is more portable. Can't determine if the audio power output and speaker are the same. Assume the larger enclosure of the 210 improves sound quality, bass? Am I missing anything? If they are half as good as demonstrated, I plan to buy several for gifts. Thanks in advance for any comments / suggestions...
Thanks for sharing and I just received mine and so far so good and have a couple of questions please : 1- can I run the clock only without radio on and without the set connected to AC power ? 2- Is it necessary for alarm clock that power cable is connected to radio ? Thanks again and keep up the good work .

Recently purchased the CCWifi3 radio and it is almost exactly the same as this Ocean receiver....I ❤ WBCQ. 👍
I appreciate your showing the QR code so I can scan it with my iPhone.
Love this little radio. After receiving it from Amazon I was so impressed I ordered two more!
I'm using mine right now :)
Almost got the 23d glad I came across this video first. Thank you sir😊

Excellent, mine gets uses quite often. I have it paired to my CC Transmitter 2. Works great.
Surprising sound quality! Great fun radio.

What are the key differences between this model (WR-210N) and the WR-336N models? Which sounds better?

I find myself using the 210 more. Probably because I don't need another FM portable :)
The design of this radio does actually remind me of any number of radios from Sangean. Actually in a good way.
Why radio stations still broadcasts on internet at low bitrates such as 32kbps? I was listening with those same bitrates 15 years ago.
Hi ....Can you tell me how long radio can play on one charge ? Regards
Can it play the Tunein aggregator?
I've bought 2 of these and I can't get either radio to connect to Skytune. So weird. I'm connected to my WiFi.
Are any of these radios Bluetooth enabled to play in car?
They don't send unless you use an adapter on the Headphone or Line-Out Jacks.
How much price?

Yes, you need to have it hooked up to a power source for the clock and alarm features.

Degen 1103 or pl-660
Anyone?
pl-660 👍🏻
Given this radio’s depth, it could benefit from a strap.
Most likely, though it is fairly compact, and easy to carry. The newer 390, not so much.
Thanks Todd, I'm asking Santa for one.
Oh, this is a wonderful radio. You will love it. I have been using it daily.
Thanks....
