THANK YOU for this. The lack of football because of the coronavirus lockdown has sent me stir crazy. So to be able to watch one of my fav ever finals is amazing!!
I support Celtic but this was a great math to watch a real spectacle of Scottish football...thanks and hello to all Celtic and Rangers fans, when the pubs reopen have a pint together!
Thanks Mr M, for putting that up. Really enjoyed that. One of the few finals I wasn’t at, but do remember celebrating in the Eagle Lodge and having a king size hangover the next day. Thanks again, much appreciated 🇬🇧
Watched this on a Sunday in October I recall and then caught the stagecoach from Inverness to Edinburgh to go back to Uni, bus was rocking as most on it were Gers fans
Now do you really need more evidence of referee bias, that penalty was a complete dive. Im sure the ref had a few pints bought for him at his rangers supporters club after the match. Celtic have to leave Scottish football.
Celtic losing discipline as per is their want. They should've had 10-11 yellows (and 2 of them doubles) but it seems the officials especially the ref didn't want to start trouble off the park... sad day when refs can't do their jobs for fear of the consequences. McMinn was as poor as Davie Cooper was fantastic. There seemed to be a lack of fitness with Rangers players. I thought Celtic played better but their attitude re intimidating the officials was shocking and that (despite avoiding 4-5 yellows) went against them. CFC... all about intimidation so great that the Teddy Bears won.
i was at this game & was about 14 years old & my brother started to take me to the football games as he was a big celtic fan,my friend was also at the game so there was 3 of us,we were celtic fans! The next week there was a league old firm game at parkhead & we were at that game,it finished 1-1. We wood watch the final over & over again & me & my friend admitted that it was a pen all the way but my older brother was adamant that it was never a pen,we wood argue back & forth, it was it wasn't a pen to the point that me & my friend said fuck you we're going to support RANGERS from now on we are still Rangers fans to this day,I loved it,we wood wind each other up all the time & still do when we are at a family party & such, In Glasgow your born into the football club your family supports!! but i was always the type that wood think for myself & as i got older i was the type that wood say right if you said left, lol. we had great banter & this game changed my life & i love watching it again & again!! i was born in govan & lived there for the first 3 years of my life & they say you should support your local team,& the local club was RANGERS!!!
"There's a sporting handshake". Archie M must have been in at the sarcasm there given the petulant way Hay walked past Souness. Very poor sportsmanship.
where did they get the ref from ? the ocal orange hall ! the worst ref Scotland we have seen !!!! FREEDOM !!!! INDEPENDENCE FOR SCOTLAND NOW !!!! ARE YOU YES YET ? !!!! IF NOT, WHY NOT ? !!!!

I am friend who wants to be my friend irrespective about race, religion, political affiliations but knowing the LBW rule does help.

Glad you enjoyed it
This was my first old firm game and cup final, was right next to the rangers fans.
Was a great game even though we lost.
A brilliant final, we won of course, but it was, atmosphere was incredible, would watch again, and I will!
🏴🇬🇧👍
Thank you for sharing this, appreciated!
Recorded this on a VHS video growing up....probably watched it 30+ times but not for years! Archie & Tommy McLean commentary combo is brilliant
Jim McLean not Tommy

Davie Cooper and big Roy... ..great players.
Bloody hell think they were all great players back then
Chris Woods was a beautiful bastid if you dont mind me saying
Great to see players getting on with it unlike the nonsense we pay to watch today ✌️
As a rangers fan I had to watch this game from the Celtic end, today’s old firm just doesn’t compare to this, not played with the same passion.
McStay
Durrant
Cooper
All top players
Don’t forget McClair! Or Murdo for that matter? Both teams over-spilling with talent which was obvious...........
Ian Durrant was brilliant!
Davie Hay was an embarrassment, as were a lot of the Celtic players during the Mo Johnston sending off.
To honest mate it was a poor sending off he brushed his hair off Stuartys eyebrow. Hay was only backing his players just like Sooie would have.
That's rich coming from a blue nose, ha!
Happy days indeed! McMinn...Ferguson...Durrant....Cooper....unbelievable looking back.
Big TEL too.
Stuart Munro unsung hero.
Why they were surprised Mo sent off for head movement towards Gers player - a Glasgow kiss or near to it.
Help from the lodge
Remember it well what a day 🇬🇧❤️🤍💙⭐⭐🌟⭐⭐🇬🇧 55 coming home 🇬🇧
In yer dreams, kiddo.
Rangers imo were Kicked off the park and anytime they beat a man were brought down
How McInally wasn't sent off for that tackle on Jimmy Nicholl I'll never know. He was already booked.

Haha. The Ref came back to Lodge 771 with us. Aye Celtic can FO to the League of Ireland.LOL.
Any one no who gotta ball I just missed one
Davie fucking Cooper! Brilliant
Great rangers team
This is football 🇬🇧
Lanarkshire mafia awarding a nothing penalty again 🥵🥵🥵☘️
The Tim guy speaking over the commentary needs a life
Peter Grant is the greatest player scotland has produced
Derek Ferguson outstanding 🇬🇧
MO MO super MO.Ta ta.
When the Timmy's were put in there place. WATP
Changed days indeed…now we own this city…🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Celtic end empty
Ladders Archie
