“A community that refuses to be undone”: Catherine Hernandez and Malia Baker discuss "Scarborough"

Catherine Hernandez’s novel Scarborough will be championed by actor Malia Baker on Canada Reads 2022.
The novel tells the story of three children, and the adults around them, growing up in a struggling neighbourhood in Scarborough, Ont. The book is also a Canadian Screen Award-nominated feature film.
Baker, known for her role on The Baby-Sitters Club, interviewed Hernandez before the debates on March 28 to 31st.
Canada Reads 2022 will be hosted by Ali Hassan and livestreamed on CBC channels, including on UA-cam.
