Really enjoyed your story of Iⁿshta'pede, it was a sad ending, Joseph, but you gave her such an amazing life and your escapades together were priceless. You are a natural storyteller, can't wait for the sequel. You should write a children's book about a mink who wants to preserve her natural habitat.

I have been watching you for years Joseph. I think you had like less than 3,000 followers. My favorite Mink has always been Fang and she will probably always be my favorite. She was a champion and just seemed so smooth at her job. Was glad to see her feed you and your family with what looked like tasty frogs before she was lost. I have some prairie dogs on my land. Maybe one day you can make the 3 hour trip and see what the mink can do.
From what I've been told, they apparently are painfully easy for a mink to catch and kill. I've never tried it though, as you've mentioned, they are quite the drive from my location!

Im really sorry for your lose !! I had a rooster for a pet that was always with me and he died and it just killed me !! He would lay his head on my shoulder. Had to take him to a vet had infection n foot. He was huge boy and vet was worried bout him but as long as i held him he would just lay hid head on me while he cut on his foot !! I miss him so much !!
Wow...had no idea that at that age they still had closed eyes...given that at 10 days or so most mammals open their eyes. #learneveryday
How do you deal with the whole rabies thing? In California, a bite would result in 6 months quarantine and or euthanasia even if she was vaccinated, because the rabies vaccine isnt accepted for mink (I think, last I recall).
Fortunately the rest of the world is VERY different from California!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I don't live there!!!! We have a much more common sense take to rabies.
I have a pet rabbit with HUUUUUGE.nuts, no confusion there haha.😂
She may still be out there back then. She had a talk with the wild mink and they switched character for the meantime.

are mink in fur farms pretty much identical to wild mink? just thinking of how fur farm foxes are bred to have excess skin to produce more fur, is there anything like that with mink?
Ranch mink are roughly double the size of wild mink, and they have much thicker fur.
