The point of this challenge is not to get compliments but to show that we have been conditioned to under spray and that to really enjoy your fragrance more and for longer in the day you need to start spraying more fragrance. This is about enjoying your fragrance and not being afraid to overspray, because with a quality juice, it's very hard to do. It's far more common that people under spray than overspray.
Good morning and well said, as the debate goes on. I'm a big proponent of over spraying. I want my scent to last all day during my 12 hour shift. And , I like compliments , too 😊

And it is the truth. Most people with the 3 sprays rule have Noone smelling them. No longevity, no sillage, no projection. Then they complain about the fragrances.

I am an over sprayer this challenge is easy. I do a combination of skin and clothing. I like to spin and spray my shirt while it's on the hanger. Not looking for any compliments but I like to get wafts of myself all day.

2 thoughts:
1. I like it, when a perfume is not that sticky to the clothes. Because then, I can wear a fresh smelling one in the morning, and a more settled one in the afternoon without having to layer them.
2. Our olfactory system adapts pretty fast to new scents. That's why we think our perfume lacks projection when it actually isn't, because every other person can smell us very good. Have you ever asked yourself, why you don't smell your own sh*t on the toilette, but when you enter another person's toilette, you can clearly smell everything? It's because of our olfactory adaption. That's exactly why we think we need more and more of a specific fragrance when it actually isn't the case.
But what if I always can smell my own shit?
Yeah my problem is when I ask my friends”can you smell my cologne” he says he can not… so I over spray

Apply fragrance on clothes is a big plus for me.......carefully on white clothes thou, some frags mess up white
Hi apply fragrance in clothe is good but the problème is when you put the clothes in your cupboard it stink, and when i put the same clothes after 1 weeks the smel doesn t go so i can t put another fragrance
I spray the back of my neck and the back of my shirt also....the girls say I leave my scent trail everywhere!!

I spray 15 + daily i never choke nor does anyone ever around me but always compliment. No fragrance however will do anything of one sprays the 1 and 2 sprays or even 4/ 5 as they have a lot of alocohol. Im at a loss when these reviewers say 1 or 2 spray max. I have extraits Edp Edt none of them will ever do anything with even4/5 sprays

Thats fine atleast u will smell good people will notice u and above all you will feel v confident. I go thru a bottle of fragrance every month i keep 4/ 5 bottles at the max to rotatte on a daily basis. Money spent on a good fragrance is worth much more than on alcohol. I enjoy my Rums too 🤩

That sure seems like a LOT!! I usually do about 6 or 7! By the end of the day though, I usually end up spraying about 15 or 20 sprays of my fragrance of the day!

My favs are Mancera Black to Black amd Red Tobacco 15 will make you dizzy. Been there done that. Oh I tried that with Oud Silk Mood same deal
I used to spray 3 to 5 sprays. I couldnt smell anything after an hour or so. Now I do 16. 2 on back of neck. 2 on stomach and 6 on each arm. I try to avoid front of neck because it irritates my eyes and sinuses.

Agree i have no issues doing 15 to 20 sprays.
between 15-20 i use normal,,,, only with strong fragrance i use less,,,, but most of fragrance are pretty light and need more...

Sometimes its absolutely okay not to project so much. I don't want to get distracted by a fragrance at work, but also I don't mind smelling strongly outside.

This is no challenge dude, I do this routinely! just because I want to. But I got good one for you, how about 30 sprays of Le labo Oud 27 and then go outside in high heat and look for complements. Now that's a challenge!

15 sprays is my normal routine
I tried it with Terre D’Hermès Eau Trea Fraiche, and it worked. The longevity was still pretty average, but the projection was great for several hours.
you can even do 20 sprays with the fresh scents, but i would not do that with sweet scents

Joelthenose, i would have to disagree with overspraying. I think everyone who knows fragrance have forgotten what quality is. Maybe the quantity of the amounts of essential or synthetic oils have changed for each formulation for body splash(cologne), edt, edp and extracts. If you were to spray yourself with 15 sprays lets say 10-15 years ago, you would still be able to smell your fragrance on your skin after many showers. Back in the day an with edp or even edt two sprays would last till your next shower, the only thing that i would overspray was body sprays to make them last throughout the day. If you factor in the price of some fragrances now days, i expect a couple of sprays to last the day without reapplication. 15 sprays is just nuts!

Under Spraying saves lots of money and the way i see it people abuse Fragrance now days Joel...Fragrance is not special anymore! Its poured on! Blasted On...And its Blastes people right out of the area! My point is that 15 sprays really is not that much but we have been conditioned to barely spray anything on which means you don't smell it for very long and it doesn't project nor do you smell it yourself. Regardless of whether you are trying to let other people smell it
