  • Thinking about buying a DJI spark, DJI Mavic air, or DJI Mavic pro drone and wondering what the battery life is?
Check out This is battery test on the Dji Spark drone to see how far and how long you can fly with it.
I Fly three fully charged batteries in three different scenarios and see how long and how far they will last.
Each battery has approximately 30 charges each on them and I let them sit for two days before flying. This will pretty much give you a real life scenario.
Here is a playlist for some of my other drone tutorials including the Marco Polo locator so please check them out!! Thank you!

Regarding gimbal speed while in Tripod mode, I liked your idea of obstacle avoidance on with reduced stick sensitivity to drop top speed from 6.X to approximately 2.X, but not affecting gimbal speed.
Regarding the obnoxiously funky FPV of Sport mode, it can make decent B Roll, but you have to commit to it. So, if in Sport mode yaw like you mean it, and stick with it for a few seconds. It's the tilting back and forth that is not usable. This would be especially true if you govern Sport mode to less than max speed.
I think 11 minutes is plenty of time to get the scene you want, but you have to know what you want, and plan it out before launch.
I have the Spark and Mavic Pro. With the MPs roughly 25 minutes of battery life I find myself burning battery just to get the battery down to a rechargeable level being LIPO and all.
I'd like DJI to give us Free Form mode in Tapfly, which is like course lock on other DJI drones. We don't need Spark 2 for that. If we get a Spark 2 (doubt it), I'd like for it to have the third axis, or at lease give us follow mode while in Sport mode. Also I'd like for Spark 2 to have 2.7K. My computer can easily edit 2.7K, which is much sharper than 1080p. I think DJI needs to realize that there are a lot of us using Spark for more than social media quick shots.
Also, in Sport mode, you don't have to put the peddle to the metal all the time. Flying at 20mph instead of 30mph works well if 200 feet of altitude, or less.
I like Spark, but it can be so F'ing frustrating at times. It's on the edge of being great, but DJI won't give it to us. We have to buy the next level drone.

Richard Ruckert Thanks for the tips and I can’t agree more! I’m still waiting to see what the Mavic pro 2 offers 😁!
Actually the best way I’ve found to get good footage while going decently fast is just to put it in a non-sport mode and turn off the avoidance sensors. I actually did a video on this if you would like to check it out.

Need some parabolic dishes. And I tend to take off from an open field instead of standing in front of a tree. You're running your batteries way to low. I get 13 minutes and dont run it below 20%

solen 1 I’m sure everyone’s are a little different. I have about 30 charges on each of mine and a little extra weight added so I’m sure that makes a little difference.
I normally land mine no lower than 20% but I ran them a little lower just for this test.
Also as I stated in the description I let them sit for 2 days after charging to show a little closer to a real life scenario. Not sure if this made much difference or not 🤔
Also I do have extenders and I did a video on them as well and the only reason I was in froufrou a tree was because my dslr was overheating so I needed some shade.
Thank you for the feedback though.
