I love your books; especially this one. I grew up on a ranch along the Clearwater River in Idaho. I went to school at a one room school house through 5th grade and through high school on the Nez Perce reservation at Lapwai. My father grew up among the Nez Perce near Kamiah and camped (with the family), hunted and worked in the wilderness of the Nez Perce National Forest in the Bitter-root Mountains. I went camas diging and huckleberry picking with my adoptive Indian grandmother, Elizabeth Wilson. I truely grew up in a paradise. I'm now 73 yrs old with fond memories.

This is a wonderful book as are all your books! Amazed by narrators ability to change her voice to different characters. It was good to get to know French and his story.
