I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe fragrances more artfully or more accurately. "...there's a nostalgia to it but of a memory that maybe you've never had" is perfection.
Portrait of A Lady is a masterpiece! I wear it all fall and winter and I miss it like my best friend in the summer. The power of fragrance is quite amazing. My youngest son has moved away and texted me one day saying he caught a whiff of my fragrance and it made him miss both myself and home. I didn’t have to ask what scent it was…❤
Ugh I absolutely adore how you describe scents. I’d love if you did more fragrance videos, testing out discovery scents, niche perfume house reviews, etc. love your content so much ❤
When you were initially describing the Armani, (as a Catholic who went to church every Sunday as a kid) I thought “oh, damp and musty with insense that sometimes punches you in the face and at other times is a faint whiff.” Then toward the end you said musty and I was like Bingo! I actually find that description intriguing, because I do have that scent memory from childhood, and I must smell it now!
What a treat! I have been on the hunt to widen my perfume wardrobe and had a go at Jo Malone, for starters. I only sort of identify with their scents, so I will want to keep looking. Something I liked, but couldn't decide on one was Gucci's Alchemist Garden seasonal ones.
I’ve discovered through lots of testing and watching a lot of The Perfume Guy’s videos that my favorite ingredient is tuberose. I haven’t had a “signature” scent since they got rid of the original Calyx, but omg when I met Carnal Flower from Frederic Malle I was HOOKED! I’m also a huge POAL fan as well - I have you to thank for that! ❤❤❤ Hugs to precious Miss Butters!
1st - The makeup is so fire! I cannot stop admiring these tones on you. 2nd - This video was sooo good! You are a magnificent story teller. You made me want to buy them all lol! 3rd - My favorite new fragrance for the season is Victoria Beckham’s Reverie 😍🤌🏼✨ absolutely DIVINE!!
Would love a fragrance video for each season. Really enjoyed this. I’ve been enjoying the Dries Van Noten and BDK scents though MFK Oud Satin Mood is my all time favorite
Yep. Portrait of a lady , an all time favorite of mine. Never gets boring. Such wonderful complex fragrance.😊 also love Aqua drop from Loewe, more for daily use.
I just love when you speak about your favorite fragrances. My favorite discoveries this year are Sonata’s Dolce Melodia ( think citrus Spring in Italy) and Initio’s Narcotic Delight. Enjoying Mishmas so much!
I love today's vlog. Now I need to try these! I tend to not be able to wear many scents as they change on me with my body chemistry. My signature fragrance is Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel, and I love it and get many compliments. However, I need to get a little adventurous and this is giving me the impetus to do so!
Hi Michele, since you love ‘’cola’’ scents, I’d highly recommend that you try Mancera Tonka Cola. I love it! (I also love both of the Frederic Malle fragrances you mentioned, too!). ❤
I don’t know much about fragrance, but have really gotten more interested in it this last year. I use a couple different sampling companies & actually have some new fragrance samples arriving today!
@ I know samples are ridiculously overpriced, but I always like to try new things (perfume, hair care, skincare, etc.), so samples are my preferred way to buy fragrance. Anyway, my samples are: 1. Happy Dust by Narcotica 2. L'Eau Papier by Diptyque 3. White Rice by D’Annam 4. & 5. Yesterday Haze and O’ Unknown! by Imaginary Authors
Happy Mishmas, Day 13! 🎄 I love fragrance and I do have several Tom Ford and Kilian perfumes. But, recently I've been enjoying a few Oakcha dupes of the high end perfumes. The cola one that is SO good is Colaroma. I could bathe in it. Love!
Favorite purchase this year was Fragrance du Bois Sirene. A cherry-strawberry oud-incense milkshake 😅💗. Also purchased my perfect fruit leathers: Xerjoff Opera with a bit more lifted and floral edge and Ex Nihilo Love Shot with the common raspberry, clean leather combo. The raspberry here lasts longer to the end though and is more sweet which I don't get in most with this combo. I love my old faithful Bond no 9 Tribeca. I kept my bottle to keep some juice in it before I buy a new one; the 50 mL this time because it took me too long to finish the 100 mL 😅. It's a perfect caramel-hazelnut chocolate bar musky scent. And like you said, it doesn't smell too literal or too much while still performing so well. I love the trail behind me when I wear it on a cold winter day. Compliments are the plus. I may also still like it more than Guerlain Feve Gourmand that is milk chocolate too but with a boozy touch and some rose jam.
Lindeman’s Peche & Framboise lambic are my favs! I discovered it when I went to a B-day party at a beer bar and asked for the least beer-like drink because I’m not a fan of beer, in general, and I’ve been drinking it ever since!
My favorite beauty must, perfume. I have to wear it every day or else I feel naked. It's awful when they discontinue a scent that you're in love with. Portrait of a Lady sounds wonderful. I did purchase a small bottle of the Armani Bois d'encens. It smells like Frankense and Myrrh. Yes, just like the inside of an ancient church. My best friend growing up belonged to a Ukranian Catholic Church, and that's the smell! I like it used sparingly, especially in the cold, winter months. Bond No 9 is one of my absolute favorites. I love gourmand fragrances, especially when there's a hint of chocolate. Not sickenly sweet. Perfection. Thanks, Michele. Have a great weekend!🥰🩷
You introduced me to Hypnotizing Fire, and although purchasing a bottle stung, I've never regretted it. Boys by Killian is a for life perfume for me, so much so that I bought two bottles on eBay for an eye watering amount. Unforgettable is a subpar replacement, IMO. And TriBeCa is amazing! It's definitely for people who want a sqeet smell without going full gourmand. I think New Harlem is also in the same vein.
Good Morning Michelle and Butters! I love your descriptions of these scents and the wearability for dating. We seem to like the same scents and I, too, am drawn to a smoky scent that evokes a memory.
These videos have me SO glad that I’m getting an espresso machine for Christmas, otherwise I would be SO sad watching you enjoy yours everyday 😂. I’ve been a pour over devotee for years but 2 weeks in Europe this fall turned me into an uppity espresso drinker. I realized the reason I never liked Americanos and lattes as much in America is that coffee shops use cups that are too big so the ratio is off and the espresso is too diluted.
Hi Michele, Ristretto intense 12 is a bumped up strength of the original Ristretto Italiano, intensity 10, espresso lineup. Flavour and taste should be the same but intensity 12 gives an extra jolt of caffeine ☕️
My favorite all year fragrance is Tom Ford’s Soleil Neige, although technically it’s a winter fragrance. My second favorite is Tom Ford’s Bitter Peach, this is a fall and winter fragrance for me. A recent discovery, discovered it last summer, is Jo Malone’s Frangipani a Sephora exclusive. It has a bit of lemon in it so it balances out the sweetness of the frangipani flower.
I’ve been enjoying the Montale fragrance Intense Caffe’ that you hauled a few weeks ago. I always get compliments on it. Thanks for the recommendation.
Your descriptions of perfumes is so rad! ❤ when you do these types of videos. I’ve been thinking of getting that first one you’ve talked about since last year! But I love Tom Ford’s Ebene Fume for this time of year!
A beloved, very good friend of mine is a fraghead & she rocks both POAL & The Promise by FM. Your vlog made me think of her ♡ Bois d'Encens sounds right up my alley, I love a smoky incensey fume. Oh & you look stunning, Michele, truly. Your make-up here is 🤌🏽 cheers 😊
im a good girl and get ritch being my own person and doing my own thing because im a good girl that seems normal to me im going to be a normal girl for infinity haha weee !
Firstly, you look gorgeous, love this make-up look, but you NEED to try Tom Ford’s White Suede. It’s one of his original private blends, and it will turn a first date into a third date. I wear it exclusively in the winter because IMO nothing compares
I absolutely love your makeup today. I just got my delivery today of the Dior lipstick in twinkle and the Burberry eye quad in midnight. I love them so much! The lipstick is such an interesting effect. I have so many of the Diptyque fragrances - I am a fan - they can do nothing wrong. The Louis Vuitton fragrance sounds so interesting. I am also a big fan of Vilhelm fragrances such as Faces of Frances, Dear Polly, and Mango Skin. Bond No. 9's Greenwich Village is my favorite from their collection. Also love Adventus for Her by Creed. I have Benjoin Boheme by Diptyque from the same collection that you like. Also love Tom Ford Bitter Peach & Lost Cherry. Great Video.
Hi Michele, your explanations of each perfume are so perfectly descriptive and passionate. Now we all know you closed the deal with sweet M on the third date, lol. Really enjoying seeing you every single day. XO, J
hi! i have a question about yarn. what do you think about alpaca silk blend? 75% + 25% . how it wears, washes and all of this? if you know i liked you description of Portrait Of A Lady 😊
Love your fragrance content! I just got a sample of Sandalwood in Oak by scents of wood and to me it’s such a perfect holiday scent! I’m a sucker for sandalwood but this has some notes like smoked sage and burnt sugar that make it feel like Christmas to me. My current “fancy outing” scent is Rose Omeyyade by atelier des Ors-to me it’s an incense rose but with a really sophisticated darkness and sweetness. But my sexiest scent is A La Nuit by Serge Lutens-jasmine jasmine jasmine. It’s funny I don’t think of myself as liking sweet perfumes but then several of my current loves are sweet. Maybe all this cultural obsession with gourmands has subtly brainwashed me 😂
The "downstairs bars" OMG in NYC...did you ever go to Chumleys? Circa 1989. People smoked. Talked to each other. Seduced each other. It was such a time. It's been gone for years. RIP.
I recently tried a sample, just out of curiosity, and I loved it so much more than I expected! It’s really quite wearable and sophisticated while still managing to be a pretty photorealistic soda scent.
You have me dying to try hypnotizing fire, but don’t want to purchase a full bottle without trying it. Michelle, Im so tired of you!!! How are you getting more beautiful??? How can we keep up? Stop being greedy and leave some pretty for the rest of please 😭 🙏 ❤
I could listen to you talk about fragrance all day long. This is a talent!
I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe fragrances more artfully or more accurately. "...there's a nostalgia to it but of a memory that maybe you've never had" is perfection.
Michele you describe each fragrance in such a beautiful way, that make me wish to have all of them.😊❤
Portrait of A Lady is a masterpiece! I wear it all fall and winter and I miss it like my best friend in the summer. The power of fragrance is quite amazing. My youngest son has moved away and texted me one day saying he caught a whiff of my fragrance and it made him miss both myself and home. I didn’t have to ask what scent it was…❤

Your description of products are simply beautiful!
Oh thank you!
Your sweater and lipstick combo is perfect! 🤎
Your brown make up look today is stunning 🤩
When you were initially describing the Armani, (as a Catholic who went to church every Sunday as a kid) I thought “oh, damp and musty with insense that sometimes punches you in the face and at other times is a faint whiff.” Then toward the end you said musty and I was like Bingo! I actually find that description intriguing, because I do have that scent memory from childhood, and I must smell it now!
Exactly❣️
What a treat!

Mfk grand soir I didnt like the opening but it turn so creamy I love it ❤
It's so interesting to hear the favorites of influecers outside of the fragrance content creators. Loved your picks and how you describe them ❤
Hello from Belgium, how wonderful that you know our beers. great. I have been following you for a long time and love your videos. keep it up.👍
I love your fragances reviews thank you Michelle ❤
Great video. Wonderful description of the fragrances.
i love, love this video. i'm a perfume woman and you describe these so nice. thank you for sharing.
Yep. Portrait of a lady , an all time favorite of mine. Never gets boring. Such wonderful complex fragrance.😊 also love Aqua drop from Loewe, more for daily use.
Love this video! Really interested in smelling Diptyque’s Eau Rihla. Loved your cozy intro!
I just love when you speak about your favorite fragrances. My favorite discoveries this year are Sonata’s Dolce Melodia ( think citrus Spring in Italy) and Initio’s Narcotic Delight. Enjoying Mishmas so much!
I’ll have to check those out!
Favorite fragrance is Blackbird Pipe Bomb Intense. I get so so many compliments. Great video! 💘
Good morning Michele and Butters! Love your lovely natural makeup look today.❤
Good morning! 🎄 Thank you!
POAL is AMAZING!!! OMG an unforgettable perfume.
I'm wearing Bouquet Ideale by Xerjoff today and I'm sure you'd love that! x
As soon as you said church incense I was hooked I’ve been searching for something that evokes that vibe! So thanks for the Armani rec!
Hi Michele, since you love ‘’cola’’ scents, I’d highly recommend that you try Mancera Tonka Cola. I love it! (I also love both of the Frederic Malle fragrances you mentioned, too!). ❤
Thank you Michele, this video was gourmand, yummy, chef's kiss 👌 Happy holidays)) x
After hearing you, i want to buy all of the fragrances ❤

😄Loving all the scent suggestions! Both from video and the comment section! ❤
My favorite is YSL Babycat. It lasts, and changes throughout the day. It’s sexy and smoky and mysterious.
Your lip today is absolutely beautiful! I need it!!!
Thank you for introducing me to these! You look gorgeous today.
my favourite fragrance this year was commodity paper, its such a perfect and pure wood scent

All new scents for me. So interesting. Loved it. :)
I liked the Ristretto with brown sugar and a touch of cream but I am definitely more of a large cup of coffee girl. One sip is not going to cut it.
Good Morning Michelle and Butters!
I love your descriptions of these scents and the wearability for dating. We seem to like the same scents and I, too, am drawn to a smoky scent that evokes a memory.
You had suggested l'ombre dans l'eau a few months ago and I adore it!

Lipstick Rose by Frederick Malle is great! Ive used it for a few years now, was suggested by Rosie Hunington Whitley, thanks for the video
"Dating with Wang" love this x

any suggestions on what fragrance for a russian girl in her 20's would like price isn't a factor

I use a French organic perfum name Aimee de Mars, émeraude....

It's all listed in the description box - Dior Rouge Dior Contour Lip Liner in 303 - bit.ly/3ZRXiBG
Dior Liquid Lipstick Sequin in Twinkle - howl.link/17roeu6qbjlgw 💕💕
Kilian has still Boys, but reformulated it and renamed the fragrance to Born to be Unforgettable. It has another name, but it still Boys 😊
Boys seems to be got in the new packaging. Check Kilian Born to be unforgettable.
❄ ⛄ Happy Mishmas! ⛄ ❄ …Day 13! ❤

Eau Rihla reminds me a lot of Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. A more refined and better quality version of Tuscan Leather. 👍🏼
