- Learn how to make this cute Poppy Troll Costume {The Dress} the easy way, no pattern needed!. Hope you enjoy!
Supplies:
A sleeveless dress (that you might already have)
Blue and light blue Felt (how much? That will depend on your kid’s size)
Small piece of white yarn (Thick)
Needle and thread (white or light blue)
Large cup (those really large)
Pen or pencil, ruler and scissors.

Made this for my daughter. Watched the video over and over to get it correct. It was such a fun project. She loves being Poppy. Oh and her hair is so long we did the soda bottle in her hair to create her own troll hair. It was super perfect. Thank you so very much for sharing this video!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment Samantha, It is easy for sure. I'm not a professional sewer and I've never actually made a pattern before so If I made it anyone can LOL. You just need a simple sleeveless dress as your pattern. My girl is really skinny so I didn't need to add a zipper but if it's the case you can add one to the side under the arm or something. I made this costume with some other moms and some of them did that and worked great. Hope your girl enjoys her costume. If you don't mind let me know how it goes. Hugs

Disculpa cuanto fieltro utilizaste para tu niña es que kiero hacerle el mismo traje a mi hija pero pues digamos que tiene 3 años
Para el difraz de mi chiquis use cerca de un metro de fieltro de los que viene en rollo, como si fuera tela normal. no recuerdo cuanto de ancho tenia pero seguro era cerca del 1,20 mt. Como de fieltro azul oscuro es solo para la base del vestido, lo que necesitas es medir el vestido de tu nena el alto y el ancho, esa medida la duplicas y agregas unos 10-15 cm en ambos sentidos para no quedar justa. Ya luego para los detalles con pliegos de fieltro o 1/4 de metro vas suficiente. Espero haberme explicado bien jajaja a veces me enredo yo sola!

Si, la base es como azul cielo y luego un celeste muy clarito para los detalles de abajo. :D
Trying to make the costume for an adult while quarantined :) How much felt fabric would you suggest ordering? For just the dress?
Hi! I can't really be absolutely sure since I have never done it for adults but I would say ideally would be twice the length of the dress + 1/2 yard (to cover the overlapped shoulder) and at least 1 yard wide. And then about a year for the lighter color. I didn't add any zipper because for my girl it was not necessary if don't want to add a zipper, make it lose so you can fit in.

Yo use fieltro por la firmeza, queria que se sostuviera y mantuviera la forma por si solo. Por supuesto se puede hacer en cualquier tela. Todo depende de lo que quieras lograr. Gracias

Qual o nome do tecido ?
O tecido que usei chama-se feltro. Mas você também pode usar outros tecidos de sua preferência e que sejam rígidos o suficiente para manter sua forma. Beijos!

Es tela. O fieltro
Es fieltro, pero la puedes hacer con tela. Yo preferí fieltro porque se queda mas la formita, es mas rígido el fieltro pues!. A parte aqui es aun frio en carnavales y Halloween por lo que se hace mas calientito tambien. Ya queda a gusto de cada quien.
