My first memory of Michael Landon was from the back seat of my parent's car at the drive-in watching "I Was a Teenage Werewolf." Next was Little Joe Cartwright and then every other show he ever created. In the 70s it came out that he wasn't a perfect man by any means, which the tabloids were more than happy to beat us over the head with. By the late 80s and 90s, I had my own busy life with no time for prairies or angles anyway. And then one day I hear Michael Landon had died and I felt like I had been hit in the gut. My reaction even shocked me. I don't know why and I could never explain it, but I couldn't watch a show with ML in it for years because I truly mourned the death of Michael Landon. Trust me, I am not one to care about people in Hollywood. Bunch of perverted, child molesting, eating disorder egotists who can't make it thru their day w/o their plastic surgeon and therapist. But when ML died I mourned.
