M Moniruzzaman is a flautist from Bangladesh. He trained under the guidance of his father Ustad Abdur Rahman. Apart from playing the flute, Moniruzzaman is also a skilled practitioner of several other wind instruments that include the bansi, silver flute, saxophone, supra-saxophone, recorder and the Chinese flute. He enjoys experimenting with fusion music and performs both on solo recitals and as an accompanying artist. Moniruzzaman has released several solo albums.
On the fourth day of the Srijone O Shekore festival, Moniruzzaman was warmly welcomed on the Ganer Jhornatolay stage, as he presented Raga Yaman on the ethereal notes of the flute. Moniruzzaman was accompanied by Iftekhar Alam Prodhan on the Tabla, Richard Kishore in the Guitar, and Sushen Roy on the Pakhawaj.
To celebrate 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence, Bengal Foundation organised Srijone O Shekore, a 5-day arts festival, from 14 to 18 December 2021, at Bengal Shilpalay, Dhaka. Supported by BRAC Bank, the festival featured performing arts, visual art, crafts, books, film, readings, and events for children. Over 300 singers-musicians-dancers-craftspersons-artists performed on stage and engaged in various kinds of programming at the festival, over the five days.

Bengal Foundation has been promoting Bengali music for decades in order to nurture and uphold the musical traditions of Bengal. The Foundation releases a wide selection of Bengali albums to the public, conducts workshops, and well as create opportunities to train under distinguished musicians at the Bengal Parampara Sangeetalay. Bengal Foundation’s music programme also frequently organises a number of large scale music events which include the Bengal Classical Music Festival. Bengal Foundation’s music programme aims to pave the way for better appreciation and understanding of the fundamentals of music; as well as to energise, influence and promote the music industry of Bangladesh.

His father was also very good, I used to see Jewel Aiche, to come to his fater to learn flute.
অনেক ইমনের বন্দিশ শুনলাম। কিন্তু এই ওস্তাদের বাঁশি বাংলা র সন্ধ্যার গন্ধে ভরপুর। এমনটি কোথাও শুনিনি।
অসাধারণ! অপূর্ব, অসম্ভব ভালো লাগার মতো সুন্দর পরিবেশনা। মনটা ভরে গেলো।

বাঁশী শিক্ষার্থী (আড়াই বছর) ওপেন হার্ট সার্জারীর পর। ইমন রাগে ওস্তাদ মনিরুজ্জুমানের এই বাদন আমাকে উজ্জীবিত করছে।
