33:24 yeah, Minnie is lip syncing Soyeon’s part in the music video because she represents what Soyeon will look like post plastic surgery. It’s why the video begins walking out of the operating room with the doctors and nurses and others smiling and immediately cuts to Minnie walking down the street. The cars crash but when “ Minnie” turns around to look at the crash it’s Soyeon that looks back.
That makes sense since in Allergy, Minnie is basically the one she is trying to be after seeing her social media and everything else. I didn't really make the connection as that being the reason for the lip-sync though. Thanks for the insight :)
Shuhua is a bit of a vocal chameleon, from what ive seen of them I think she might actually have the largest range, there's a part in Nxde where I first thought Yuqi was singing but it was actually Shuhua, she doesn't get as much lines because she's not as confident in her Korean, but here she is covering Soojin's lines too
That's pretty cool. They all have great voices! I just saw them in concert which was a lot of fun. Each member did a solo stage and Shuhua was the only one that did a dance instead of a song so I wonder if she did it to be different or for a similar reason.
Since Soyeon writes the title tracks and since she is a rapper at heart then she will always sacrifice words or lyrics in order to maximize the "flow" or "musicality" of the delivery.
Yea it's something I notice more and more in kpop. I would personally love for them to not drop the words if they're going to put it in the lyrics or, just don't write it into the lyric. That being said, it's MOSTLY English lyrics when a word gets dropped which makes sense since that's not their first language. Harder to get all of those words out so sacrifices must be made XD
@Hiomi23 I'm not familiar with them either so I'll definitely add it to the list. Look for it closer to August maybe even September unless I get to record a lot of videos sooner :) Thanks for checking this one out!
For a "Minnie only" reaction... I suggest my two favorite OST songs from her. "In the novel" and "Getaway". You can find lyric videos to play for these. They really show off her voice. Also, her appearance on "Lee Mujin Service" (episode #1) is legendary. For that one - you would need to obfuscate the video somewhat for copyright purposes, but Minnie singing in that is just angelic.
Thanks for the recommendations! I may or may not add them to the request list just cause I want to give as many people as possible a chance to get their request in. That being said, if I run low on requests and content is in a lull, I will circle back to these! As for Minnie, I love Yuqi so much but Minnie's voice is just as unique though obviously in a different way. Hers just sounds so ethereal at times.
@@JeffReacts12 Side note for Yuqi... She sang her new song "could it be" (along with playing guitar) on stage during the first day of (G)I-dle concert in South Korea 2 days ago. There is youtube video to be found, but it's fan cam and concert sound... so not the best quality.
@@babette5918 I think I might look for it, but I might wait until after I see their concert to see if she does it there too or if it was a site-specific thing.
Thanks for the shoutout! Early in this performance we got "Hann", "Hann, alone in winter", and "Hwaa" together which are a trilogy of songs. "Hann" was 2018, then the next 2 songs were part of the "I burn" album in 2020. Soyeon and Miyeon are 2 of the 4 members of K/DA. (G)I-dle includes "Pop/Stars" as a performance piece during concerts.
@@JeffReacts12 Soyeon and Miyeon also stand out in K/DA "More", Soyeon's rap in K/DA "The baddest" is top tier. RIOT games brought in Soyeon and Miyeon for "Pop/Stars" which was the first K/DA song before (G)I-dle even debuted. Soyeon is notorious for only performing raps that she wrote herself, so I imagine that she wrote her own lines in "Pop/Stars" even though she isn't credited on the song. That might be why RIOT has no qualms about (G)I-dle performing the song in concerts as a compromise to not crediting her as a co-writer. This is purely speculation of course.
@@babette5918 Given what I know about Soyeon and Idle, I'd say you're probably right. I'm still kinda shocked to know they were in K/DA. Isn't K/DA still making music? If so, are those two still part of the group?
