Whale sharks are the world’s largest shark species, but that’s not their only special quality. I bought organic brand of dried lamb lung for my dog, i found glass and plastic bits in it. I called and complained to the company and they investigated the matter and paid vet bills from xray of my dog and operation cuz my brother had given him some before.

Very often WWII bombs are found where I live. In some regions, people find so many of them in a short space of time that instead of calling the demining service, they now have to collect the bombs in a chest in their driveway. The demining service will pick them up when the chest is full. It's easier than driving to the same house or farm every day. In my municipality, the mayor has forbidden (or asked to stop) magnet fishing. Two children had taken a bomb out of the water during magnet fishing two years ago. The whole village was in turmoil as a result.

I took my late wife out for dinner at a Red Lobster in San Fran bay area. We'd ordered or meal and had received our salads. As we were talking but hadn't started to partake yet, i noticed something out of the corner of my eye. My salad bowls contents were "moving"! As it was normally lowered lighting in there, I picked up my salad and walked over where a light was. That's when i found "Dozens" of Lady Bugs crawling through it. Lesson here is "LOOK" before you leap/or Eat first. Yuck
What exactly did that woman want the store to do about her slug problem?? That’s why you’re told to wash fruits and vegetables before consuming them... because you can find bugs. I get she almost fed it to her kid but she didn’t. There’s similar stories across the world of people finding bugs or even frogs or mice in fresh produce. If it was frozen then her problem should have been with the specific brand not the store selling it, especially if it was a factory sealed package...
My family once got a leg of lamb from Woolworths and when we got home (approximately 15-20 mins later) we went to put it in the fridge and it was mouldy. We contacted Woolworths and they told us to come back in and they would give us a new. We did that as it was for Christmas lunch. They then made us pay the extra dollars for the new leg because it weighed more the mouldy one. If it wasn’t for the fact that it was needed for Christmas the next day, we would told them to shove the lamb where the sun don’t shine. We have never gotten meat from them again.
Try plastic on thin shaved ham, from their deli department, I did. Yep from woolies.

I always find a bug or another in vegetables here. It's normal... But yes, certain slugs, when eaten can be harmful, not all of them. But bugs, like, ants, little larvae amd other small insects are normal in organic vegetables, you just gotta wash them before boiling or steaming. I'm scared that the mom didn't washed it, even if it was frozen.

There was an unfortunately incident of an Australian man eating a slug on a dare therefore he ended up 95% paralyzed and died 8 yrs later due to the complications!!! Omg horrible! No escargot for me thanks!

unsettling might be a bit mild for some of these. the bones in the fire pit for sure. would be interesting to find such a thing, but rather chilling, too. finding slugs or other non-foods is not as unusual as one might think. the possibility is common in organic foods. it's always best to inspect and/or clean all food, organic or not. you never know! as always, darling Katrina, very interesting. really do love your site. don't know how i missed this one.
