Promoting Solar Cooling in Rwanda with Munyax Eco

Agriculture is the backbone of many countries in Eastern Africa. While it is not only important to produce nutritious food, it's also important to have good post-harvest processes in place to reduce food losses. Solar Cooling is a technology that is used to store agricultural produce for longer, allowing farmers to sell at a later point or to aggregate for larger buyers. Munyax Eco is testing a Solar Cold Storage from SelfChill. It runs with 8 cooling units and a PV generator of 4.3 kW.

8 cooling systems, I heard. They appear to be a 12 or 24volt marine unit.....that has individual controllers for soft-start and variable capacity ability. 4000 solar watts did I hear ? 20, 200-watt panels ? Wunderful concept.... Hats off to the designer..... Would have liked to see the evaporator-plates and heat-exchanger. Any additional videos please ? ❤❤🎉
