Kamala Harris is the candidate I was for in the 2020 Democratic primary. I was upset with Joe Biden for winning. But he earned back my respect by nominating her as Vice President. I was upset with President Biden at first, for dropping out of the race. But now I realize that I am getting exactly what I wanted, and Binden was the man who helped make it happen. I also am greatful that the Democratic party is behind Kamala Harris without a fight. As soon as I realized that people were accepting her, I could sleep easy at night for the first time in months. This election has really given me a lot of anxiety. It's not over yet. But at least I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. People still have to vote. Now is not the time to become complacent.

It’s so funny you mentioned Hamilton~the play has been on my mind over the past few months (I rewatched it twice lol) and when it was announced that Biden was stepping down from the campaign I cried and thought about the song for Washington, “teach them to say goodbye…” for many of us, Biden and earlier, Obama/Biden, meant security, honesty, integrity~especially in this time. I’ve been terrified he would pass away and I was terrified he would step down…mostly bc I can’t always count on my fellow countrymen to make sound decisions…I couldn’t count on them to support this very accomplished woman who is VP Harris.
But now, we have to learn to say goodbye in this precarious time. I have to have faith in the better angels of our fellow countrymen because the alternative to faith is crazy anxiety for me. Thank you for sharing your KH story KFA! Love you guys.

I am not American. I live in Australia but I am so excited for Kamala Harris to become your next President. I have heard some pundits in MSM say that she was unknown and a poor speaker. Well I thought that the role of the VP was to stand behind the ruling President and not outshine them on particular issues. So that is a poor criticism. As a European I never followed an election in America this closely. What an achievement for Ms VP Harris. This shows that no matter where you come from and what type of skin you have, if you work hard enough to reach your goals you can achieve everything.
