To my ear, Def Leppard have always been about the guitars and multi-part harmonies, with the bass and drums less busy to just provide a solid backbone. Thanks for all these covers. Bass is my favourite instrument.
Nice to see early Def Leppard getting some love, when they were still considered part of the NWOBHM and hadn't yet become the pop-rock arena juggernaut of the Hysteria years. You should check out "Switch 625" off High 'n' Dry. One of their coolest, hardest-rocking songs.
I’ll have to listen to it! They really have a lot of good material and often get overlooked by people nowadays despite how big they are and great their songs
Thanks for the many 'cheezy' smiles...still got the pick I see. Thanks for the dedication to spread the music...try your fingers' once, you may like it...Be cool Bro...still hangin' witcha.
I just heard this song play during a stop in play on the hockey game and thought that’s a good song to check for a cover on UA-cam. Your video stood out the most with the tabs. Great job and much appreciated.
I'm just happy to hear and watch another Def Leppard song from you.🥰 I don't know, but I think the albums before Hysteria are more of your taste.🤘 Wow! A new angle!! It's a little sad not to maKe eye contact, but the atmosphere of the new angle is fresh and pretty good.😎
I’m so glad you like it Hee 😁 I do think I like hysteria and earlier a bit better than their later stuff, although I do like Let’s get Rocked a bit (off of Adrenalize)
Hello Samboat, excellent videos that you have but I have been wondering if by chance you could help me with the song Funeral for a friend / love lies bleending by Elton John, I really admire your work👏👏💯
I’ll will definitely add it to my list for you! I’m honored to be the one who got you started on bass. Welcome to the Bass Nation, and let me know if you ever have any questions!
Hello it’s me again.. I hate to bother you but I have a question maybe you can help me with?? So I have a compressor and a SansAmp which one should be the first plugged in coming out of my amp?? I see so many different ways but in your opinion which way would you go??? Thank you for any advice you may have…(oh there both just pedals if that matters??)..??
Hey Drew! I have my compressor feed into my SansAmp. I find that sometimes the SansAmp can have some fuzz/grain/hum and a compressor would tend to emphasize that sound if it was after the SansAmp
@@SamboatMusicBassCovers - I believe that (again...I believe😎) certain songs should be played with a pick, but for melodic songs fingers have less accent and staccato pronunciation. Agreed that every Bass Player has their preference...but I hope you don't always play with a pick. It shows your versatility and technics of producing different tonalities. Keep up the good work.😁
Thank you! I definitely agree that some songs should not be played with a pick. I tend to use whatever style the original bassist used in my covers on the channel
@@SamboatMusicBassCovers Cool....thanks for the response, your doing a wonderful job!! I only use a pick when trips or quads are implemented throughout the song. It's more 'crisp'. You are definitely having a good time...keep up the smiles...not TOO much cheese! 😄

I’ve actually heard the song! The name didn’t ring a bell, but listening to it I recognized it. I’ve heard it on the radio plenty and love it 😎🤘
I know quite a few bass players that would benefit from your video to learn how to really play the bass. Excellent job playing this one.👍

Why should I lose the pick? Rick Savage used one on this song
