i met some serbian friends in a student exchange last year, and you are right, the rakia was strong but after 2 shots it's as if a gentle fire is shimmering in the body. we balkans appreciate strong drinks. i'd love to visit serbia some time!

I had to come here on and off to visit my boyfriend while I was in school but now that I graduated i'm staying a year while we do his k1 process. My husband and I are like you and your husband however we have been married 14.5 years with 3 children. We go back to Serbia every summer and now since the pandemic my husband wants to move back. Wishing you guys all the best.

A few shots to fetal position in no time flat 😆. This made me miss holidays with my Pop Pop so much. The first year I was allowed to drink his homemade wine I was the same way, lol. We also eat stuffed cabbage but call them halupki. We don’t sour the cabbage but do make the rolls in a tomato soup with copious amounts of vinegar. Delicious! My dad’s dad was Czech. We eat sauerkraut every New Years, halupki every holiday. Pierogis, haluski. Good eatin! Thank you for sharing your beautiful life and family with us. Have an amazing 2021! 🥳

The reason that you like The balkans is that people are more free here...for now...people hang out in The streets from like 4-5 years old and to that in The US means never see your kid again. We would hang out till 1 am when we were 10 and only come back to eat and sleep. Its just different and safe. For now...
