I miss the solemn, holy songs that we used to hear in church.
Now it's all electric guitars, keyboards & drums. . .just like worldly music of today.
I’m at the point in life where I feel really hurt and in pain due to thoughts that negatively float around my mind. I just want it to all stop! I really do want to get closer to our Lord. It sucks to say that I am very distant from him and it seems as if I only come to him when I am hurt. If someone could please help me learn and grow closer to him through all times. I wanna pray but I don’t know what to say, it’s hard for me but I know with some help I can be able to connect with him. I want to speak to him everyday and grow a bond with him.
Update 10/29: Hi everyone! I am feeling greater and much more stronger than I was before. I’ve honestly changed so much in these past months. I thank you all for keeping me in your prayers because it really does work! Struggling with a cigarette addiction. It's like I have no life and it takes up all my time. Lord heal me.🙏
Bethany Taylor I struggled with smoking as well but to you I say don’t be so hard on yourself. Once I realized that breaking the addiction was all in my mind I knew I had to change my daily routine, fill my smoke breaks with productive activities and just straight up tell myself no in other areas (partying, drinking, food binging, friends houses, bingo) it became easier to say no to smoking. And on those day where I just couldn’t resist I held out for as long as I could I’d buy the most expensive cigarette I could find (in Jersey it was almost $14) and I allowed myself to smoke one or two then I’d throw the whole pack away, forgive myself and pick up where I was. Eventually I’d come to find that wasting that kinda money on a stupid habit was too rich for my blood and I just stopped. It truly is mind over matter. Best of luck to you and I’ll be sure to keep you in my prayers!!

Btw... this was over a 2-4 months and it wasn’t an overnight fix. I’d been smoking since I was 13 so I allowed myself grace to stumble but most importantly I never stayed there. Be kind to yourself.

I was having troubles sleeping, I was really getting anxious and agitated. I was led to go on online and listen to songs of worship and I found this. I left it to play and It put my mind to rest, and I slept so well, work up feeling refreshed.
