1) wedge cut with an upward angle +-30° somewhere 1/3 - 1/4 of the tree 2) make small horizontal marks with a chainsaw 2 inches above the wedge, just to see where to cut. 3) horizontal main cut at the back of the tree, you need to undercut about 2-3 inches (more if the tree is larger) 4) fell the tree using wedges Good luck☺️
I am far from being a professional logger but, I would start with cutting a larger wedge cut. I’ve never gone side to side to complete a back cut on a tree that small and in that Good of condition either. Keep cutting that’s the only way to get comfortable. Just be safe dude nice work.
