Hello Sir. Love you comprehensive strip-down videos. May I ask? I’ve just got a V15 (which I’m guessing is not dissimilar to the V11/12 ). It seems there’s an inherent problem with cyclonic waste in that this fine particulate material can’t be captured by the screen, upon return to the main bin, but can’t escape through venting as the post-motor HEPA filter prevents it. It simply keeps recirculating until it comes to rest on a gasket or exterior cyclone surface. I think this is why all of these machines get build - up in the cyclone assembly? Anyway, I have a small window to swap my V15 out for a HX2 and wondered if you thought the Miele guys have a better solution with their hx1 & 2 to deal with this fine dust issue? I see they use a ‘Vortex’ which I’m guessing is not unlike a cyclone. Do you think the Miele is therefore just as prone to cyclonic waste gate build-up in the long run and is it easier to clean? Bottom line - should I stick with the known issues of the V design or cut and run to the Miele Hx2? Thanks again. Great videos. Many thanks. M R.

The triflex is certainly a great machine. A lot of my customers love that machine. I hear a lot of good things about the dyson as well. But as you have pointed out the dyson is not so easy to clean out when it comes to micro dust build up. If that is a concern for you the triflex is easier to completely clean. Also the Simplicity S65 is as well.

Do you know if it is possible to add a second wand onto the first to get an extended reach - say for very high ceilings ?
Do you know if the HX1 and HX2 parts interchangeable ?

I believe so. And you should be able to fit a 35mm “fit all” wand onto the triflex

Hello! Would it be possible to do same comprehensive instruction video with HX2 filter? I'm having great trouble removing the fine dust filter from it's base. Issue seems to be quite common among HX2 users.

Thank you for this explanation! I have trouble pulling out the filter. It takes a lot of force and really hurts my fingers. Do you have any advice? I'm disliking the machine intensely because of this. Thanks...

From the official Miele TriFlex HX1 filter cleaning video, it said do not wash or brush the filter - I been washing it and letting it completely dry as per your instructions - is it bad for the vacuum, why does their video say no washing??

I had the same problem, I got the inner filter damp. It needs to be completely dry, so leave it in the sun for a few hours, this should fix the suction issue.
