Escape from new york has always been one of my favourite films, but it wasn't until this video that I realised the absolute wealth of acting talent that was it it. Thank you and thank you to all the accomplished actors and actress that made the movie.
in the 80's when HBO first came out, they'd play the same rotation of movies for months and "Escape from New York" was on all the time. I loved it. Doubleday did an amazing job, lots of one off improvs. Of course the entire cast was amazing. Also James Cameron did matte paintings on the film. And when snake flew the glider into New York, the airframe display was all dayglo green tape they put on the buildings for that look. Amazing film
@@marknewton6984I knew which 2 Reasons you mean, fella, remembering " THE CANNONBALL RUN " Yeah, she was one of a kind... 😉🥴😜😂 Back in those days she would be called MILF... 😊
I found Adrienne Barbeau guest appearing on Murder, She Wrote as a hardened prisoner. They fail to mention that! But gosh! I love her mopped hair and her serious eyebrows...!
My dad never called her by name.....just hey....its Tits McGhee.........bein a kid at the time.....i thought that was her name. 😆 dad was a card for sure.
You have to mention McHales Navy when discussing Ernest Borgnine. As a young child that was burned into my brain as him. Later finding out he won an Oscar, I was amazed.
Halloween may have been his best HORROR movie no doubt, but Starman is his most underrated MASTERPIECE! ❤️ A complete 180 from Carpenter’s usual comfort zone so to speak, being that he was more known for his horror/sci-fi terror flicks @ the time … and a gentle alien love story/drama sounded so far-fetched from having his fingerprints all over it!
The late Lee Van Cleef was seen in a commercial of the Dutch beerbrand Bavaria in the late 80's. I saw Adrienne Barbeau some days ago in the CSI:NY episode 'Smooth Criminal' as the character Dr. Theola Kumi.
Harry Dean Stanton was in the Navy also. He was a cook on a ship during the Okinawa invasion. Kurt Russell was in the CA. Air National Guard. He and Sam Elliott were on the same base.
I love your videos you made Nostalgia Hit!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And I miss Ernest Borgnine, he’s the best of voice of Mermaid Man from SpongeBob SquarePants!💖💖💖💞💞💞💞💞 Can you do Grandview USA (1984) cast then and now 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤ And speaking of SpongeBob SquarePants, what is your favorite SpongeBob SquarePants character(s) or episode(s) you like the best??😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤💞💞💞💞💞💞
Chris, that's because the half of the cast dies in EFNY 😅. MAGGIE, HARROLD, CABBIE, THE DUKE & ROMERO !!! Take a Look at the original and you'll forget the Sequel immediatly, trust me...😉
Escape from NewYork is one of my favorite movies, and considering what a craphole it is now? The really should wall it off! Not even Snake would venture inside.😂
@@joannp5806 Thanx, Jo ! But where from New England? Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont ?!? I'd like to spend some Time in Maine ! Why ? Because the best STEPHEN KING Storys happened there...😜👻👍😉🤣 Greets, J. 😎
Carpenter's best film for me will always be Assault on Precinct 13, it's a shame most of the actors in the film didn't go on to have bigger careers. I know it was "just a movie" but I'm still mad at Donald for what he did to those kittens in The Uncanny
I grew up with movies like this one.
Still like them.
RIP Lee,Ernest,Donald,Isaac....
Thanks for many hilarious hours.
Harry too
Kurt Russel has been a lucky man with a great career and accomplished personal life❤
Lucky I don't think so.
The thing
Didn’t know Donald Pleasance was a Vet and POW
Such a great film!

I grew up with a disk player and my family only had two movies I would watch this over and over. Guessing I have seen this 200 times.
It's sad we've lost so many great actors from this film. May they all be at peace. 🕊️❤️🙏
Great job my friends 😊
Too bad the fence around New York isn't real.
Adrienne Barbeau is one of the most beautiful women of all time!! 😍
Give me 2 reasons!
Fell in love with her at 10 years old in '72 on "Maude" 💘
Adrienne Barbeau is still one of the most beautiful women today!!!
😍 😍 😘 ❤ ❤ ❤ 😘 😍 😍

How can you not have Tombstone on Kurt Russell's mentions?? Maybe his best work. :/
IKR?? As well as The Thing … another John Carpenter sci-fi classic with Kurt in the lead role!
Maggie was a hot lady. Even in swamp thing.
The best Carpenter film has to be The Thing. EFNW is great though.
A lot of these actors were also in the film 'The Fog'.

My top 3 John Carpenter films: 1.They Live, 2. The Thing, 3. Starman
No such thing as 'the best John Carpenter movie' they are ALL the best, although we all know Halloween was the best 😍

Harry Dean Stanton is one of the greatest actors in the world!

Season Hubley is so pretty!
I didn’t see Escape from N.Y.I saw Escape from LA & I’m surprised many of the cast members from the NY Film didn’t return for the sequel?
Escape from NY was far, far better.
Chris, that's because the half of the cast dies in EFNY 😅. MAGGIE, HARROLD, CABBIE, THE DUKE & ROMERO !!! Take a Look at the original and you'll forget the Sequel immediatly, trust me...😉
Oddly enough, I've known about this and the L.A. one as well, but never watched either of them. Are they worth the watch?
Yeah, the first one.
"Escape from L.A." sucks.
👍True words spoken 😅
Buenas noches me gustaria el ciclo de vida de los actores de invasion usa, laguna azul.
