- The Patriotic Alliance came out third in last week’s by-elections, winning two wards from the Democratic Alliance in what some are describing as a big gain for the small party. The party also made an impressive showing in Beaufort West, taking 24 percent of the vote, just one percent below the DA. Are these signs of what is to come in the local government elections?

Truth, ITS by Time Coloureds Worldwide are embraced nd treated fairly. For years all other races have been taking all their frustrations on coloureds. There's no nation who is called so many names like coloureds, mixed race, halfcaste, biaracial, molatoo The B word etc etc when will this STOP.

I agree with you on many issues, Gayton, but, being a pensioner, I can't agree with the bombshell you just dropped. Why would you want to use our pension for youth training? Leave our pension to grow to help us beat inflation. Nobody touches your investments. No, Gayton. That's ANC strategy, diving into our pensions at every whim.

Our people need to open their eyes, we've got nothing to lose to vote for parties that show real growth. PA found its roots in the Coloured community but they did won Ward 68 which has a large amount of black people

One thing he needs to change is the word “rule” (like many politicians I’ve heard), government is not here to rule the people. They’re here to serve, the mentality that the state is God and we on the ground are servants needs to change. Unfortunately a country without rule turns into anarchy. There are rules where ever you go. So when Gayton says rule, he means bringing back the rule that guides citizens on that long road he mentioned, the right to a basic standard of living.
