well, i found breathtaking and couldn't take my eyes off. not because i couldn't but because it was too beautiful and interesting. i didn't want to miss a second of it. but i guess people have different ideas and ways of seeing art etc
This is one of those shows I really wish I had been there...really like the Byzantine touch with the added Slavic history/culture influence. Love Lagerfeld :D
The other big Russian moment was obviously Yves Saint Laurent's 1976 collection. Between that and this epic Chanel collection, I wonder which people find more inspirational to their aesthetic development and which collection they most covet? Which collection, out of the two, would you most like to own pieces from and why? This is a very personal question because answering it will say a lot about how you'd style an outfit and what kind of things you currently own and love. The other question I pose here with great enthusiasm is: which wardrobe item do you cherish and adore but hardly wear due to being so tricky to style and build an outfit around? Thanks for uploading this video, it's all absolutely gorgeous and I dream of being able to see the workmanship and the incredibly beautiful fabrics and pattern cuts up close.
This collection, not YSL's. I find YSL's museum-esque, and oddly not so exciting when you see the pieces separately. This one is eternal and eye-gluttingly beautiful in every line and bead. It's 2022 and I would wear those pieces today.
@@GrammarSplaining Oh yes! I'm in agreement. What is disappointing and worrying to me is that Chanel's workmanship these days is not what it used to be, therefore I'll be buying exclusively vintage if they don't sort themselves out as a house-- especially with their hardware and accessories which currently do not have a great reputation.
@benzin1614 theirs faberge pendant on the news selling on ebay lol wanna go halfs to buy it :) nah but i got a feeling it will hit past 1000 provs worth 32,000 on its own lol just check up sothebys past auction results on faberge jewelery, the queen of england only has too items of jewelery lol
although karl is the one who signs off on everything, the prefall collections (like this one) is intended to showcase the artisans who work for the house of chanel-- the jewelers, cobblers, pattern makers, etc. which is why the accessories are so extravagant and the clothing is boring. the artisans deserve the credit for how amazing this collection is... not so much karl
I AGREE! What glamour is there in the fact that an animal has been trapped, killed, skinned to produce some hat or tippet? People don't even think how what they are wearing got there.
tismurdis that’s exactly what glamour is... an illusion... it’s the wolf pretending to be little red riding hoods grandma... evil hiding behind the guise of goodness... kind of like the pope, or the national military, or a charity fundraiser, or a student loan, or a mortgage, etc... it’s THE SYSTEM... the MATRIX... ANCIENT EGYPT...
I saw this video when I was 8 and I'm 13 and this still has a lasting impression on my designs
you must b a grown woman now
That close up to Natasha at the end was just flawless...
I will always love this collection ! Everything is perfect
SICK video indeed! The first minute and 35 seconds is simply genius!
this is the best editing i ever seen in fashion videos
It was the perfect finishing touch to add an authentic Russian vibe...

Amazing collection *-* And btw designers should release their runway music on iTunes seriously! I love the music here ♥
the song is called Hands of a stranger, by teenage bad girl
We miss you and your genius Karl 😢

Diese Stil-Sicherheit ist atemberaubend ...
I love the contrast of the over-the-top luxury of the clothing with the "rough" and funky music. Chanel herself would approve!
sasha looks amazing here n vlada beautiful as ever n sean o'pry oh myyyyy!!!!!!!

MAGNIFICENT!!!!!! As always!!!! I hope Karl will live forever, He is God!!!
Cuando usar la marca era todo un lujo... Karl un verdadero artista

amazing! Monsier Lagerfeld is genius:)
Karl should have filmed Snejana more she’s so pretty !
Nope. Moscou as in Moscow.
Its the city that inspired Karl Lagerfeld in this collection. :)

great song, but all of the editing made it hard to see the clothes. the idea is cool
for some reason this collection reminds me of Alfons Mucha
its look like a Twitch from VideoCoPilot for Adobe After Effects
the editing was supposed to be that way! ;)
it was Resort 2010 :)
I want to see the clothes AND the models. Not only the models' faces.
Je préfère carrément ce défilé à celui de Paris-Scotland. Les premiers paris-byzance, paris-moscou étaient plus stylés que les derniers show chanel
Diese Stilsicherheit ist atemberaubend ...
Wow Natasha Poly! Very Beautiful! Gorgeous Face.
way to go SASHA!
Tanya at 3:17 OMG!!!!!!!!!! that's why a model gets paid

the burgueois
the collection is beautiful !!! but the musical range and design .. it is awful and not possible to watch.
