Shaolin has an insanely slow recovery time for a hero who's considered "Highly Mobile." Tbh he should be one of the if not the fastest characters in the game and have almost the same amount of stamina reserve similar to Gladiator!

Shaolin player is more skillful than the orochi. He win only beacuase orochi has recovery everywhere in his moveset and he can do a lot of mixups. He deserve remachr after rework.
This is a good example of pure skill vs playtime. I'm noticing that a lot of the number 1s are good with their character, but more so often just use the same 2 trick stuff. Like in another video it was warlord headbutt every round at least 6 times or so it seemed. I'm not that great at the game and I use nobushi, but I don't light spam and kick spam. Idk it just seems like most of these number 1 players are only number 1 because they play a lot and just naturally got on the top by playing so much
I would say pureskill and playtime going hand-in-hand. So can you give me an explaination of what do u mean with it? To the Warlord; one of the Chars with less variaton-possibilty's - just watching them (I agree) can Look and feel like they just doing the same. The difference between someone with greater experience and some beginners lets say, is the timing and using all abilitys in different ways so nobody can "read" you. Another step is, to Mastering your Char. Knowing all issues with Timing, recovery, range of attacks, etc... So to defent the number ones to just having playtime. There are reasons for that. Like you can see here. Both using faints and they are often not reacting to them. Beginners would most of the time. Mindreading is a huge advantage...
@@Pfaffix9 Playtime gives anyone natural progression right. If someone sat in training and practiced and practiced and practiced. Learning match ups and taking this game to a whole new level. They're more than likely better than someone who just spends (for example) 2000 hours just doing the same 1 trick move. I learned this the hard way when playing nobushi and I had to stop doing habits that higher level players would punish me for and adapt and learn the match ups against heroes I am bad at fighting against. In other words x amount of hours doesn't make you number 1. You can still be a monke and be number 1.
tbh it was unfair match. Orochi is way better than Shaolin as a character. second, all I saw was Orochi blocking and giving double lights. he could do the same using any character.
I had stopped watching these because the winner is 99% ofv the time the person who picks the better character. But I had to see this as a shaolin main, and see if there was a real difference in the characters strengths. Orochi is just stupid good and Shao is stupid bad. GGs to the Shaolin though. Man had some nasty deflects though still Orochi just had to much to deal with for Shao right now.
People might say the orchi totally smoked him but I disagree. More then anyone besides dova who is playing raider he made him stuck quit a bit. So I say even with the score bored it was close to even.

Not gonna lie, Sunkai is the only person who's managed to convince me to try Shaolin, before him I avoided reflex guards like the plague
