Finished the build of the Tekno EB48 2.0 RC race buggy build. Fun build, not too difficult, let's take a look at the ESC, servo, motor, and receiver combo I picked up and discuss a few tips and tricks to make your build easier.
#Tekno #EB4820
It's a really clean buggy build, I've never driven a Tekno, and that does need to change. TY for sharing, will be interesting to see how it handles bashing!
Tekno builds some of the nicest buggies out there! Thanks, always prefer a build review to unboxing 👍
Great tips! This has motivated me to hurry up and finish the build! (only done diffs so far...😅)
Just in time for summer 😎👍🌞
Nice thanks I'm wanting a tekno. I had both mugen buggy and truggy and they were awesome. Never broke a part on mbx6 buggy, broke couple arms on truggy. But now I have a kraton and you can tell the race kits are far superior to the kraton. I love it but I mostly just rip it up and down the street cause I got tired of breaking stuff
I think you did the same thing I did and put the rear body mount in front of the the rear shock mount when it should “straddle” it. I noticed it to late after I cut the hole in the body. I wondered why it was kinda wobbly. The instructions weren’t real good on that one part. But always love your vids 👍
oh thanks, yeah that works WAY better! 🙏
Been waiting for this one!! I’d highly recommend the t-bone bumper, protect your front end. As much as I don’t like Tbones crap customer service, the bumper is well worth it
Might want to fix your rear body mount. I messed mine up too. The little notch in the underside of the body mount straddles the rear shock tower. Great car so far. I added front and rear universals vs the cvd’s along with some of the red springs for the front and the LF orange rears. The 1.5 x 5 pistons are also clutch.
Thanks!
Make sure you slot that front body hole like you did the rear, it will make your body last a lot longer.
The torox185 is a rebranded Hobbywing Max8, not Max6.
Nice buggy you got there.
Next year I might buy a MT410. Heard so much good about this company's quality kits, I would love to own one.
Sorry, yup Max8, hopefully that was obvious! The Max8 is already a bit oversized for this buggy.
Looks great...and, it's aTekno to boot (of course, ALL Tekno vehicles look & perform great). For 1/8, 1900-2000kv is "standard" for 4S.
Just curious, but what is the "fully loaded" weight (grams, please)?
If you read the notes in the manual it tells you to test if the diff need any shims.
Note: TKR1222 may not be required. Check fitment and add if needed.
Very nice buggy
Max 6, did you mean max 8. Max 6 would be pretty big for this size buggy. Also on the shims, I think it's a kit by kit basis. Maybe after you run it and mesh the gears in it might take that other shim. I tend to mesh on the tighter side as the diff case and gears wear in. Great build, looks awesome
Thanks, yes I misspoke about the ESC, it's a Max8 based ESC, not Max6.
@@RazorRC Boss...I am a basher, not a track racer. How is that diff working with 7/10/5k working on the bashing aspect? I am torn with 10/10/7 or the manual for that same rig for the offroad vs. not the competition says 20/20/10k for diff? How is that working for you, keep or change it for bashing? Last, bashing did you stay 15T pinion or up it? Thx
I would elongate the rear body mount hole. U might crack it if not fully elongated. Yes the rear flex a lot
thanks!
Nice!!!
What battery size do u run on this?
Razor🎯
So your reason i can't buy torx escs from jennys 😆
