    To put this in perspective Bryson is hitting like the long drivers but he is splitting 15-20 yard fairways consistently. The long drivers may get 1 or 2 drives in out of 10 on a football field target that is 50 yards wide.Let that sink in . We have never seen the likes of this.

    • @jamese1116
      @jamese1116 4 роки тому

      he's not hitting it as far as the long drive guys. those guys have 155 clubhead where Bryson has about 132. the long drive guys are trying to hit it as far as possible. I'm sure if they went on a golf course they can swing it 132 and hit more fairways

      @@jamese1116 Then why arent they doing it. Theres millions of dollars on the Tour up for grabs. He IS hitting it as far as the long drivers. He is using a regulation length driver they are not. Not every long driver hits every drive 400 yds. Not uncommon for the long drivers to miss the grid with all 10 of their drives. I play with people who can hit it 350-360 but sometimes its 2 fairways over. Bryson has hit it 370 in the middle. Would you take that or a 425 thats 100 yds off line?You miss the point Im talking about distance AND accuracy.

    What amazes me is that the modern golf ball can withstand such a brutal force, and still remain intact. I wonder how many times you would be able to hit an individual ball that hard! Makes you think if he uses a new ball on every tee.

    I love this guy. Such a great player, but better yet, such a great man. He has so much class and character. He won't let himself get caught up in the low life, no class breeding of Dustin or Brooks and see's it all as a compliment to his courage and skill sets and the dignity he brings to the game. I watch every shot he makes and admire him no matter the outcome. He and Jordan are the best men out there to me because of how they represent the game we all love, not like the druggies, drinkers and cheaters we have today. So many do a great job at not letting the tiny few drag it all down. thank you.

      His back was already ruined years ago, that was a big part of his reason to start working out and focus more on his body condition. Before he bulked up his back was locking up just from a bad nights sleep. I think he talks about it in this years Masters QA a day or two ago. He's not a gym junky that just puts on a bunch of dead-weight to look big, he maintains the flexibility and elasticity of the muscle otherwise he'd actually be losing distance

    Guy's let Bryson have his fun, he worked hard for it. With that said,this won't last for long! The way tech is moving, and the youngsters coming up it won't be long before we have 6 month old baby prodigy who can smack it out there 425. With 58 inch driver,1.5 feet tall. With all that flexibility, and not having fully developed bones yet, that baby's going to be a monster in the future, on the PGA tour in 2021. Bryson there's a new baby prodigy in town, and his name is Reggie Hammond✌.

      They should.... Today's balls are easily 30% farther than balls that were used as recently as 2000. These distances are reficulous. One of the hardest holes in all of golf the 13th at agusta is almost a pair 4 for these guys And today's ball.... It's stupid.

    Tiger Woods 1997 Masters. 150 pounds. Hit it 350 pretty consistently with a 43 inch steel shafted 190cc steel driver with a wound ball. He ended up changing his swing for more control and won a bazillion tournaments & majors. I think Bryson will have great weeks and bad weeks. It's just really difficult to be consistent in tournament golf swinging off your heels. How many Long Drive circuit guys have a tour card? 0. I love Bryson. Think he's great for the game & entertaining. Wish him the best but golf has NOT been broken since 1999-2001. Think about 1997 Tiger with a 2020 low spin driver & a ProV1. He would hit it 400 but also probably all over the lot. Tiger was always a better driver before he switched to graphite. Just my 2 cents.

    • @NewJerusalem77
      @NewJerusalem77 4 роки тому +1

      @Patrick Names My bad. He only averaged 325 yards that week. That's also Bryson's average. I've heard several players including Nota Begay say Tiger was quite a bit longer in college than he ever was as a pro. Hank Kuehne in 2003 was averaging 325. This is fun to watch but it's not new. This is basically a guy using science to prove bomb and gouge works. But so does finding fairways.

      @@NewJerusalem77What are you smoking? Tiger didn't hit it 350y consistently. His club head speed back then was about 130mph, which is about what Bryson's club head speed is now. With an elevated tee and a tailwind, Tiger could reach 350y. Long Drivers with 140mph club head speed can barely win regional qualifiers these days. I was swinging 135mph and getting slaughtered at local qualifiers after hitting it 360-370y when the conditions were right. If I am not mistaken, Bryson got his swing speed up to 140mph with Kyle Berkshire a few times, but he doesn't swing that fast now.

      Bryson's head speed is about 135-140mph. He has reached 147mph. Tiger was probably 130-135mph. Driver CORs have remained the same since Tiger was at his best.
