- I bleached my hair again. I lasted almost a year.
anyway
I've been seeing the money piece trend practically everywhere and I had to try it.
Products used:
Schwarzkopf BlondMe Bleach
Schwarzkopf 20vol developer
Mixed in a 1:2 (So basically twice the developer)
Left on in total for around 20 minutes
Dyes used:
Schwarzkopf Igora 7-982 30ml
Schwarzkopf 20 vol developer 60ml
Applied on all the lighter strands, left on for 30 minutes and left to airdry

It was originally called a "money piece" when it was used along side highlights or balayage to make the hair around your face "pop" and excentuate your facial features. I was taught that it made your end result look more expensive, had a longer lasting grow out, and overal gave a halo like glow to the skin. Basically they taught us that doing a "money piece" would make our clients feel more luxurious/lavish, and it would keep their colour looking fresher for longer.

@@killjoy555. i mean they didn't invent the blonde version obviously but they made this specific version (only having the money piece and often in fantasy colors) way more popular. They brought this back into popularity so give them at least some credit lol

Man this trend was huge in the 90's when i was a teenager. We called it chunks. There was even a kit called Chunking. We only did various blonde tones tho.

I'm a professional hairstylist, and it's called a money piece due to the fact that while balayageing or highlighting we tend to make this piece brighter and make it pop! It is coined the money piece due to the fact that That's what clients see right away is the brightness around the face! Having/not having it can totally make or break a service!

So so pretty! Such a good job. Have you ever tried overtone to maintain your color? It’s really awesome bc it’s a very pigmented conditioner, so no damage! Comes in a ton of bright wild colors. I think you’d like it.

Ah I just did this hairstyle!! I was inspired by Kylie Jenner's look from around April, and Jennie from Blackpink! I did a pretty big chunk, one inch deep at the top of my head, down to my ears. The rest of my hair is natural colour. I think it's a fun way to have a low-effort style!

Idk if this could maybe help ur hair but since ur hair are (at least apparently) not straight u could maybe try the curly girl method, or at least implement some of it into ur routine, so in the end u will still be able to bleach and sometimes heat style ur hair but on daily u will not need to style them since u are going to have ita already wavy, sorry for my bad English, love from Italy

I used Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo and conditioner on my very fried bleached hair. It felt like hay and turned into my naturally curly, oily, healthy hair. I don’t know what you use but I really recommend it. It’s expensive but worth it
