I just bought the a lite, screen protectors, case, SD card, and Mario odyssey just because I wanted to play that game after 6 years. Yeah you’re right I waited a long a$$ time. 😂
@@mikkiw.lq2steamdeck37 I did the same but then picked it up again later...and now I love it. It just takes some getting used to!! There is SO much to do in Stardew, and the story has so much depth to it.
I had my own Nintendo Switch Lite for a whole year now. So much fun and entertaining handheld device. Easy to bring and play wherever you are. I recommend using headphones for the best gaming experience. Fantastic video!
Omg hahaha this was an entire dosis of cuteness from start to end. I am glad that you're so happy with that Nintendo console. Welcome to the Nintendo family!
Its lovely to have more players enjoying the Nintendo Switch. For games that suit the style you mentioned, I have a few recommendations, pardon the text, as I want to describe each in a manner that can give you an idea of how each are: 1. Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet: One of the more recent releases on this list, Pokémon is fairly easy and fun game that everyone can get into. While some will say its intimidating, or it has performance issues, for a casual play, you'll find yourself enjoying it, as the games do a great job at the start to explain how to play it, and you'll fall in love with the story (given you're an avid reader) and the Pokémon to choose for your adventure. The adventure itself will feel very cozy, and you'll love roaming the world with Koraidon or Miraidon and soaking it in or seeing the Pokémon interact with the world. 2. Super Mario Odyssey: A really fun adventure game of the long running Super Mario video game series. The best part of this game is that they designed it in a manner that you can play it in easy short bursts, so you can take out your Switch in say a bus, play a few levels, and by the time you reach your destination, you have completed them (and that is actually how Nintendo advertised it too no less). Also, as of typing this I believe it's on sale as well, which is fairly rare for Nintendo made games. 3. Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Kirby is a fun game from Nintendo, and this new entry see's Kirby on a brand new one. It's very fun, cute, and cozy to play, and if you like Kirby and his poyos, you'll love this entry. 4. Abzu: I always love recommending an Indie Game as they often cover a variety of genres mainstream games don't offer, and Abzu is one of them. The game has you play as a diver exploring the vast depths of the ocean, seeing various aquatic life, while giving you an experience like never before. The game is very atmospheric and tells you a story through your eyes. You will immerse in awe and beauty as you play this indie title. 5. Persona 5 Royal: Another recent title, I put this last as it's a Japanese Role-Playing (JRPG) title that can be a bit tough, but again, assuming you're an avid reader and enjoy a great story, Persona 5 Royal offers that. Persona 5 Royal is the enhanced 5th entry of the Persona series, the popular (and award-winning) Persona 5, which was at first a PlayStation only title. However, due to its popularity, Persona 5 Royal is the first title of the mainline series to be on Nintendo Switch. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you want a game with an incredible story and stylish look with some snazzy music, this is a great JRPG to try and dip your toes into, and one you may find yourself liking. Again, sorry for the text walls, but hopefully you find something you'll love. Have fun with your Nintendo Switch, and Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much for this! I haven’t heard of a lot of these:) I was pretty intimidated by any Pokémon games because I don’t know any of the lore like other players do, but I might have to give it a try!
@stephmariebooks That is definitely a common issue with most games. But luckily with the new game, they are largely have their own stories now that it's easy to jump into. The same for the rest of the games that I and everyone else here recommend. Its actually a new trend that has begun being pushed forward to attract both new and older players by most developers along with accessibility, which I applaud. So don't feel intimidated on trying any game you want to play, if you feel like playing, then pick it up, and have one hell of a time.
I got 3 out of 5 of those games and I never heard of Abzu but Persona 5 I been contemplating about for a while now, I think I’ll definitely buy it soon! 😎
@@ajx2956 Abzu is definitely an interesting indie game. I was debating recommending it or Cuphead but opted for Abzu as Cuphead gets VERY hard at times, and I'd rather not put her or others in a difficult situation, rendering it impossible to play. That, and I already know Persona 5 Royal is quite the game and can a bit complicated with its difficulty selection. But Abzu is definitely an experience to behold.
Your reaction was just like mine when I got my oled . I fell in love at first sight and I didn’t even dare touch the screen before putting on my accessories. I hope you enjoy your gateway into gaming!
Yay! Congrats on getting a switch! You’re going to love it. Games I recommend: Cozy grove, spiritfarer, Mario Odyssey, Little Misfortune, good pizza bad pizza, Sky children off the light (free, and currently having a concert series with the artist Aurora in it) and Doraemon story of seasons. All of which I consider to be cozy. Fun tip, add games you want but didn’t buy to your wishlist, so you’ll be notified when the price drops.
yay welcome to the switch fam! Some cozy/relaxing games I recommend would be Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Cozy Grove, Ni No Kuni, Octopath Traveler, Zelda Breath of the Wild, and any Pokemon game! Please reach out if you enjoy any of these, I love helping new Switch owners out! 💕
I got the NS Oled in black the other day. I had the same reaction like you. I been thinking about getting one for over a year and I’m really happy that I got it! I bought spiritfarer last night and I love it! I have not got used to stardew valley yet. Have fun!
you my friend just earned a subscriber! i recently got back into my switch and im getting my 2 most wanted games for christmas (animal crossing & super mario oddysey) so im really excited! keep up the great work :)
The coral switch lite was my first but I own an oled now, it has a bigger screen but switch lite is so comfortable to hold. Oled is a bit heavy. I play mine mainly handheld and sometimes docked. I love ooblets and wobbledogs, you can create weird dogs lol
the game recommendations here are good, stardew valley and animal crossing, as well as pretty much all of the Mario games, are great starting games for a non-gamer to jump in with.
Super happy for you that u got a switch 😃 this was actually the first video I’ve seen of yours and will definitely be coming back!! But just in case no one had told you already (but I’m sure u already know) I would recommend investing in a micro sd card as the switch already has quite the limited storage and you don’t want it to fill up fast 😅😃 Have an awesome day and great video.
And for game recs I would say my time at Portia or predecessor my time at Sandrock but I’m not sure if that’s on switch yet. Cozy grove, Kirby forgotten land, if u like cute puzzle type indie games I’d recommend a game called Elli it’s so cute but can be a bit stressful sometimes 😂 Pokémon if ur into that and Sky children of the light
At the beginning I thought the same, that I wouldn’t play on the tv, but the beauty of some videos made me change my opinion. I sold my coral lite and I got the animal crossing special edition 🥰 I’m so happy for you, this is a great moment for you 🥰 10:22
Literally me lmao I also bought the blue Lite from Target along with Super Smash, Mario Kart to start with i had the original switch with these games but barely played it so i sold everything, now 3 years later I'm back, I love it
Welcome to the Switch family! ❤❤ I’d suggest cosy games like Cozy Grove, stardew valley, unpacking, animal crossing, mario kart (not so cosy ikr)… you can also find other cosy games in the said category in store!
I wasn’t a gamer at all till I got the switch and animal crossing new horizons. OBSESSED. I just got Unpacking and excited to buy more, got some accessories as well as a memory card 😊 I just love these videos
yay for getting a Switch 💙 have the most fun with it! My most played games that I recommend always are Pokemon (Scarlet and Violet just came out); animal crossing; atelier ryza; super mario odyssey; and splatoon!
Great vid it made me excited, I might either get a lite in 6 months, depends if a new model drops in the first half of 2023 or not. If not it’s fine I’ll use the lite until the next one with upgraded graphics comes out!
Good choice going to store to buy it, im usually hesitant buying consoles online. Seeing as they are either late or if i buy new you tell its not brand new. I got a lite for my brother since we share an oled and when im on the oled he can play the lite. Or sometimes the other way around. We only wish they made an oled model with some minor updates to it like they did the the regular oled model. But we are happy with it. Im thinking getting my own incase i have to go somewhere and have something with me on travels. The oled is nice but feels big and not portable at all when i take it somewhere.
Cozy games: Stardew Valley Animal Crossing is a must! Disney Dreamlight Valley has been my recent addiction! The game will be free in about a year so right now we pay for early access. They periodically release new updates with new characters. The last update added Scar, a new area to explore, story quests, and a Halloween event. The next update is on Dec 6 and gives us woody, buzz, and Stitch as new villagers. Also said we would be doing missions in space, and im pretty sure they're having some sort of Christmas/winter event.
Rayman Legends is a very cool game, funny and chill... and of course all the Pokémon games are nice for chill nights 😁 (I'm so happy for you by the way, lol)
I recommend to go into settings on your switch and change it to dark mode in the themes menu but two free games I can recommend for the switch are brawlhalla or fall guys
@HeavenHell89 I think so, yes! I would youtube/google different games/gameplays first just to see if any games catch your eye. But even if I only bought my nintendo switch to play one game that I loved (disney dreamlight or legend of zelda)...I would say it's worth it!! I had friends who solely bought the switch for animal crossing and its the only game they play and they have no regrets! If you don't care about screen size, you could get a lite to save costs!
For cozy games I recommend Animal Crossing, Dreamlight Valley, Hokko Life, Story of Seasons, Little Dragons Cafe, all the My Universe games.... my wife loves cozy games and she loves her Switch.
I find the Lite to be more worth it for me than the regular switch. I already have a home console, my ps4. + I’m traveling alot so the lite is more portable and ofc cute :)
I would look into the warranty I never get the all state warranty they are a hassle and super hard to get a repair I would recommend if you can go get warranty in spots like GameStop and Best Buy. Walmart and target do all state warranty which is trash
I bought and unboxed mine a few months ago. I only play Animal Crossing at the moment. But I stopped because I hate playing alone at times. I bought a used V1 Switch and waiting for another copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons to play with my wife.
RESPECT FOR YOU most of a girl that but Nintendo Switch lite is colors PINK but your different you choose a little gentle colour idk maybe type of people is different but respect for you
I like Zelda and Pokémon games but I did buy Stardew valley and I bought Hopes Farm. I actually finished that one. Then I love Clue, and I bought monopoly and Life. I haven’t bought Animal Crossing or Mario Kart yet but I am thinking about them.
So nice to watch a non gamer love the nintendo switch! I recommend buying pokemon violet for it is an easy game but super entertaining! I hope you enjoy Nintendo's best console (in my opinion). Here are my tips: It's better to buy games physically more than just downloading it even tho it costs cheaper because, if you download games online it will rip apart your storage but if you buy physical games it will only take a little bit of storage because it is saving some game files. 2) You should buy a Micro SD XC 1 for your switch because the switch has like not a lot of storage. 3) Buy the normal ones and not the licenced nintendo ones because, you will spend like 10 more dollars for the same xd card with the same gigabytes of storage. And that's all ty for reading this! Have a great day/night! :)
Of course The legend of Zelda Breath of the wild, Mario Odyssey, Kirby and the forgotten land, Luigi's mansion 3. But also: Gris, Bugsnax, Never alone, Ori, Smurfs, just dance))
Hello, it's been a year now since you bought it. Can you update us if you still use and enjoy your switch? I'm currently contemplating on buying one (I'm also a non-gamer) I'm afraid I'll get bored of it immediately
I also just got a Switch, but I ended up going with the regular Switch instead of the lite because it came with Mario Kart. But for the longest time I wanted the blue Switch Lite - it looks like the same color as my first Game Boy Advance
Nice, i recently got the Neon Blue & Neon Red Switch OLED for around 425$ in my country i upgraded from the Switch Lite Blue version (not turquoise) so i kind of miss it since it was my first Nintendo lol so hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as i did
@@thehapamommy a memory card is useful for games that you want to download from the Nintendo e shop and also for some games that require a download to complete the game if it's not all on the game card. Because the switch comes with built-in memory but it can fill up fast depending on the game
ANIMAL CROSSING, it cozy and fun and intriguing at the same time. You will instantly get hooked trust me it has been the most played game on my switch... :))
o hi, im brazilian and so like your video, I recently bought a switch too, can't wait for it to arrive!!!! I highly recommend the games, stardew valley, hollow knight and hades
I recommend animal crossing, Stardrw valley, Disney dream light valley for relaxing. racing game: Mario kart 8. Fun shooter game: splatoon 3 ( incase your into shooters). Also Pokémon violet if your into Pokémon you just battle other creatures and capture them and it’s open world. Also do gym battles and do elite 4. I’ve been very relaxed on Pokémon and it’s pretty fun. But top pics are definitely relaxing games
I'm torn rn to buy the lite or the basic switch, i'm thinking it might be good to have the one that i can dock to bigger screen but at the same time i'll probably playing from bed and having the lite might be the best as it's lighter and more comfortable to play
Here are my recommendations for some really fun switch games: Legend of Zelda breath of the wild. Hyrule warriors: Age of calamity Mario odyssey Mario kart 8 deluxe Smash bros ultimate Team sonic racing Splatoon 3 Kirby and the forgotten land And Zelda links awakening. Also congrats on getting your switch I also got my standard edition just recently 😊.
Some games I love are animal crossing, let’s go evee/pikachu (one of the easiest and most relaxed Pokémon games you can find), Kirby forgotten land or Kirby star Alliies, stardew valley, unpacking, cozy grove, sky, Mario cart, it takes two, Pokémon snap, any Zelda game. If you want some more action but still chill games there is Pokémon arcues, hollow knight, and splat toon. I will say at a point a lot of chill games will get boring so sometimes a easy but action backed ga,e can help.
Where can you buy the games for the Nintendo switch lite as the majority I have seen come with a code and I want the ones where you can just buy the actual game and put it in I'm planning on buying one so just wanting to know if anyone can help me
When you bought Nintendo gaming system, you should play Nintendo game exclusive like Mario, Kirby, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Fire Emblem or Pokemon... but everyone know about that so i recommend Astral Chain they have easy auto combat mode for non gamer it a game fit with your Switch lite color Astral chain is a very nice underrated game... I recommend you to buy the physical copies of Nintendo game so atleast you could resell it if you don't like the game
It's a good thing you bought the Cooking Mama game because there was a lot of drama with its release. They're now taking that game off the shelves. Don't worry it's still a playable game, it was just released before it should have been. There is a new cooking game called yum yum cook star. A really old cooking game that's got an anime style to it you could try playing is waku waku sweets. I played a little bit of it and it's really cute. I love the My Universe games. I have most of them.
Gaming is life

Game no life
i dont agree with you it literally means you wont be able to live without video games and that means you’ll die just cuz of video games 🎮 smh 🤦♂️

I would look into the warranty I never get the all state warranty they are a hassle and super hard to get a repair I would recommend if you can go get warranty in spots like GameStop and Best Buy. Walmart and target do all state warranty which is trash
Ahhh man I didn’t know that! I’ll look into that
im getting a switch soon and this was so wholesome !❤️
Good presentation. You deserve more subs
I bought and unboxed mine a few months ago. I only play Animal Crossing at the moment. But I stopped because I hate playing alone at times. I bought a used V1 Switch and waiting for another copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons to play with my wife.
I hope you enjoys your Switch! It's amazingly lite compared to the OLED.
Animal crossing is def a cozy game staple! I’d highly recommend- a bit pricy but it’s worth it cause the game is endless!
I love endless games:) also I love your profile picture
@@stephmariem thank youuuu :) enjoy your switch!
First game i got on the switch was EastWard . its a must play .. Nice video i was excited with you getting your switch
I’ll look into that game:)
RESPECT FOR YOU most of a girl that but Nintendo Switch lite is colors PINK but your different you choose a little gentle colour idk maybe type of people is different but respect for you
while everyone is recommending the oled version, I can't resist the cuteness of the lite version, I also liked the color!! I might actually buy it!
It’s so fun!!
To me you look like a person that would love hades it’s a top down Roguelite game and it’s very fun
I like Zelda and Pokémon games but I did buy Stardew valley and I bought Hopes Farm. I actually finished that one. Then I love Clue, and I bought monopoly and Life. I haven’t bought Animal Crossing or Mario Kart yet but I am thinking about them.
What!!! I didn’t know they had clue!! I have to get that
So nice to watch a non gamer love the nintendo switch! :)
Thank you for the tips!
This is a great idea! I will definitely do that!
Now you got me geek am getting one soon...😁😁😁
I like how u replied to most of the viewers comment
I try!!
I would recommend unpacking game, it is the most cozy and therapeutic game I’ve ever played on switch.
Fortnite is a really cozy game definitely would recommend 😊
I also just got a Switch, but I ended up going with the regular Switch instead of the lite because it came with Mario Kart. But for the longest time I wanted the blue Switch Lite - it looks like the same color as my first Game Boy Advance
you literally have the best energy
This is the best compliment I will EVER receive thank you
Nice, i recently got the Neon Blue & Neon Red Switch OLED for around 425$ in my country i upgraded from the Switch Lite Blue version (not turquoise) so i kind of miss it since it was my first Nintendo lol so hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as i did
That’s awesome! I do enjoy it thank you
@@stephmariem Okay, That’s perfect!
Switch Lite supremacy! Hope you enjoy it.
I love my switch lite,too.. tempered glas and a huge memory card is a must!
Dumb question….just ordered a switch lite…..what do I need a memory card for
@@thehapamommy a memory card is useful for games that you want to download from the Nintendo e shop and also for some games that require a download to complete the game if it's not all on the game card. Because the switch comes with built-in memory but it can fill up fast depending on the game
@@thehapamommy also that's not a dumb question that's a good question 👍😊
Good afternoon. With a pleasant purchase, an interesting color of the console.
ANIMAL CROSSING, it cozy and fun and intriguing at the same time. You will instantly get hooked trust me it has been the most played game on my switch... :))
I have the same exact setup! I recommend Animal Crossing and Mario Odyssey.
It also have free to play games in the eshop
o hi, im brazilian and so like your video, I recently bought a switch too, can't wait for it to arrive!!!! I highly recommend the games, stardew valley, hollow knight and hades
Congratulations on your switch!
Do you get it bro
Mário odyssey is the best game. You are gonna love it
I still cannot decide if I should get a cheaper than a lite used normal switch or a brand new lite
As a long-time gamer let me just say, welcome to our club.
Thank you🥺
I recommend animal crossing, Stardrw valley, Disney dream light valley for relaxing. racing game: Mario kart 8.
Omg i really love how u unboxing your first switch ^-^, it reminds me of me haha cuz i bought oled splatoon 3 days agoo
I'm torn rn to buy the lite or the basic switch, i'm thinking it might be good to have the one that i can dock to bigger screen but at the same time i'll probably playing from bed and having the lite might be the best as it's lighter and more comfortable to play
“In blue” ofc, blue is the only way to go because its the best freakin color, nice 👍
Yes it was my favorite color they have made so far!
Here are my recommendations for some really fun switch games:
Legend of Zelda breath of the wild.
Hyrule warriors: Age of calamity
Mario odyssey
Mario kart 8 deluxe
Smash bros ultimate
Team sonic racing
Splatoon 3
Kirby and the forgotten land
And Zelda links awakening.
Also congrats on getting your switch I also got my standard edition just recently 😊.
Thank you!! I’m excited for you
Gaming is Art, Gaming Is Love, Gaming Is Expressionism
i just came across your video and omg girl sameee ahah got mine like a week ago and i'm sooo happy! 🤭❤️ loved your reaction!
Yay! Thank you!
I never thought about that! Thank you for the recommendations❤️
@@stephmariem also keep your storage in mind the switch runs out of it quick so down the line you may need a sd card or buy more games physically
@Adi's Inventory Yes I was planning on getting an sd card❤️ thank you!!!
The blue is really pretty! I have the gray one and just bought a purple skin for it!
I also have 4 regular switches, because I’m a content creator and like having more than 1 island lol
That’s awesome! Do you like having a skin on your switch?
@@stephmariem I just ordered it, so hopefully I can get it on just right! Lol!
So brilliant my mate!
i love this video!! i am so happy you just started your jourey with games! i love switch so much 🥰😍
Thank you🥺 and yes I’ve been addicted every since
@@stephmariem hahaha i had just the same!
Where can you buy the games for the Nintendo switch lite as the majority I have seen come with a code and I want the ones where you can just buy the actual game and put it in I'm planning on buying one so just wanting to know if anyone can help me
one of the main reasons i gonna buy one is for plague tale 1 & 2, how was your experience with cloud gaming?
Do you know there is a port at the bottom for a sd card for more storage
Yes I do! I want to eventually get an ad card
I'm getting this in blue as well and getting it from target! I was debating on the yellow, grey or blue
I personally looovveee the blue!
@@stephmariem yes indeed blue is my favorite color
I have an Xbox series x and a Nintendo switch Oled
When you bought Nintendo gaming system, you should play Nintendo game exclusive like Mario, Kirby, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Fire Emblem or Pokemon... but everyone know about that so i recommend Astral Chain they have easy auto combat mode for non gamer it a game fit with your Switch lite color Astral chain is a very nice underrated game... I recommend you to buy the physical copies of Nintendo game so atleast you could resell it if you don't like the game
I got that Switch Lite from GameStop & I love it.
Oh my goodness thank you for letting me know! I would have been super sad if I couldn’t get it!!
