i can totally agree mate that us the rig. i was sat there myself on the bank early hours in the morning and made wxsctly the same rig. i remember seeing it somewhere on youtube months ago but the same fishing over silt having problem after problem. i sat there looking in my tackle box and made myself one exactly the same and since then nailed them right in the bottom corner lip each time. well done for uploading as i couldnt seem to find the previous video again for some reason and i think it will go along way for other anglers to try and see what they think of it. well done mate. tight lines.
It’s just what I use and it it catches mate, there is no specific rules and yes what you said would work too, it’s just to make it look like the leaf matter on the lake bed....
@@basiccarping6983 Thanks for the reply mate. I'll definitely be giving this rig a go my new club water (similar to yours there is a lot of leaf/tree debris etc) which as you know its impossible to find every leaf in the swim with a marker rod especially when there's a bit of tow on the water. I was going to go back to the withy pool rig which I haven't used for years but your version seems to have even better rig mechanics. Again for the reply pal.
Chocolate starfish I do have a few vids to edit and upload but just haven’t had the time recently.... I’m in the bank in a few weeks so I will put some up then.. thanks for subscribing 🎣👍🏻
@@basiccarping6983 if it worked then that's good. Also what bait do you recommend for a lake that bands boilies. Grate vid thought keep up the good work
@@Alex-jr4bq there are loads of options, luncheon meat, sweet corn, tiger nuts, worms, maggots, bread, cheese, etc etc... Just get some strong attractor on it to make it ‘stand out’. Use a bit of cork if you want to pop it up... Be creative, carp are surprisingly simple creatures... Just enjoy your fishing that’s the key Tight lines 👍🏻🎣
Great video. Keep them coming

Very nice rig one that I will try thanks for sharing
No problem 👍
Just joined a proper silty old estate lake, so defintley gonna give this a go on my first 24 hours! Looks mega.
Ive just joined an old estate lake with deep silt so Im going to give this a go for the tench, the rig looks pukka, thanks very much
Good for you that’s being positive the thinking man well done mate excellent
Thanks 👍
This a pop up rig or wafter and you fish silt with an inline? Wouldnt that cause the stiff link to twist up?
Looks a great rig this. My lake has a similar bottom. Would this work with the Gardner XL long kickers? Or does it need to be shrink tubing? Cheers
A kicker could work but the angle would be all wrong and it may risk tangling on the cast that’s all....
Looks a little bit short what if you fishing in 3 to 4ft silt?
helicopter style
Noodle rig , with a lead shot.
What's the advantage of the shrink tube over say some really stiff bristle filament mate? Similar mechanics to a hinged stiff rig by the looks.?
