Great one Andrew - Amazing. Klook making SO much music on snare drum, bass drum, 1 cymbal, hi hats. Anybody here miss the mounted tom or floor tom? I didn’t - not even for a split second.
@@IsaacSmelcZhan I got a copy off Discogs. Great recording quality. Also, from that time, 57-58, I have to say the arrangements are hipper than anything quasi-similar from the US.

Thank you for posting this, Andrew!!!!
Thanks so much for this rare footage. Maurice Vander on keys smoking a cigarette - cool!
Tell me who is not smoking a cigarette in this studio
Magic
Kenny C.... tight as they come. ❤
❤Fantásticos! 👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇸
" Pretty sneaky, sis"!😂 A pleasure to glance in the atelier.
I see a stylistic link between KC and Billy Higgins. Very similar swing.
Yes ! Iove Billy ! RIP ! ❤
Good observation - yes. Snare drum style clearly rooted in the rudiments, yet so loose and groovy.
I want to know the album that came out of this session.
Search Black Knight Kenny Clarke and you can find the album
@@IsaacSmelcZhan Thanks for the tip.

@@gnarlton7084 I agree. The difficult syncopation and lack of repetition in the arrangement shows real creativity.
How'd you like to read those parts?? :)
I’d love to !!
Sorry Pierre, but Kenny was on the spot, the Altoplayer was out.
a complete brainchild, too many interruptions for it to really groove
Those were different takes being recorded. They evidently recorded the intro separately, and mixed it in with the body of the tune later..
