I loved being a kid growing up in the early 2000's! There was real amazing shows that kicked ass, all the characters had well written story's that actually developed solid personalities and plots that could stand on there own two feet. The new crappy teen titans go and ben ten animation is just full of shit! I feel like all of these cartoon stations are trying to stay away from doing any shows or write any stories that could be seen as depressing or heavy. They don't want to be held accountable for anything that could affect a kids behaviour, when I watched them shows it always held more meaning and depth that kids were being pushed intellectually but also emotionally too.
Teen Titans and Batman the Animated Series are pretty much what got me into comics originally. Sure, it wasn't quite as brutal as the comics it was based on (woman repeatedly raped by a demon and then left for dead once she's pregnant), but it still had the mature undertones and more or less the same character motivations and all of the fun. This show was my childhood and is something I'll always look back on every once in a while.
I got too emotional watching this, why? Because just of a sudden I had a flashback of myself watching this on Cartoon Network when I was about 3 years old around 2004-05. Times flies really quickly...
My childhood. I remember watching this on my grandparents' TV because they had cable and my home didn't. I was a kid and didn't understand anything, but this is brilliant! Maybe an instrumental of the Kim Possible theme next? I know it's nothing to do with comic books, but seeing as you also did Ducktales.
Why can’t cartoon do a major fan service to everyone and give us the good ending to the show with season six. Same voice actors same art and animation style. Why can’t that happen
One of my favourite bits of any theme song ever is when you get a teensy wee bit of "nananananananana" just before Robin appears on screen. It's such an awesome touch. And this was an awesome performance!
