Cardboardtanic Wreck THE GRAND STAIRCASE and Reception Room

- The exterior of the 7 foot long bow section of the Cardboardtanic is almost out-pacing the wreck of the actual Titanic in terms of deterioration. The Starboard side hull /wall is completely falling off, revealing more very much intact rooms and furnishings inside.

I can’t believe that somebody puts so much effort into something, and sinks it, just for our entertainment! A legend indeed, I tip my hat to you!

Which part of the interior do you think is the creepiest? The Dining Saloon Creeps me out even... I get a bad feeling just going in there. You might notice when going inside the ship that the room placement isnt necessarily correct, this model wasnt laid out exactly like the Titanic, but close. The dark area around 4:46 is the lower level of the Grand Staircase. I was trying to see if I could find any glass from the dome. No luck. very dark, silty, and disorienting. The Dining Saloon is getting too silty to even film. Next trip down there I am going to try and locate the stern, and go inside the bow compartment and find the car.

Hey i love these cardboard sinking ships! There are not a lot of ships sinking on youtube that are not legos, top 10 videos, video games, or just ship clips. This is defiantly a fresh breath of air!

It’s so amazing how realistic the ship wrecks look
What I find most interesting in the 2 video's of the wreck is how while it's happening at a faster rate for multiple reasons - the way it's deteriorating is very similar to the actual ship - collapsing more back-front, the side tearing away as it does, weaker structures and top deck while the core still seems more solid.
Even after a month since the last expedition the inner decks are still in prime conditions. Well done!

I still don't know how you manage to place all these tiny little details inside these ships (except for the clips made in a separate box) and manage to nail the design! The clips in a separate box are just as impressive!

Stumbled upon your videos by accident. Love it. I used to make cardboard boats when I was younger and shoot them so. I could watch them sink.... but I never recorded or added so much detail. But I did make large scale boats similar to yours... very cool. Awesome detail

i love how you can easily tell that this was not just shaped into what it looks like but its actually the natural wreck form since cardboard wont stay together as well its the same as being a giant and cardboard is like steel but you can break it so easily because you are a giant compared to the scale of the cardboard and the ships

Amazing that the woodwork did not collapse and broke free from the ship during the sinking, unlike the original. Would be amazing to see if the Turkish bath is still in place, too!

This is unbelievable how quickly it is deteriorating. Very interesting to see. Would love to see an update or an attempt to lift it out of the water but the latter is probably not possible.

Given that it looks like you've wired the lighting with enamel wire, which won't disintegrate as quickly, and won't short out, you've got a good chance of lighting the wreckage up if you can still get 3 volts to the lighting circuit on that.

Since we can only explore the half of the titanic but the other half (stern ) is in no good condition so there are no interior in the stern

Well due to the pressure and the temperature you would be crushed by the pressure or freeze due to the water temperature.

I'm curious about the whole process when it comes to making these videos. Did you sink the ship and the sets originally in a separate setting and then after filming is finished, sink them again in the lake to look after over time?
Also, 5 months? The video only came out almost 2 months ago, unless it was a matter of letting the main ship sink first, then the sets, then editing all the footage while the model was sitting at the bottom of the lake.
Also, where is the model in the lake? I'm assuming shallow water and the footage was filmed at night time to give it that "deep ocean" illusion.
