It's tough too. They start practice it at the age of -5-6 years of age. The costume is Sambalpuri, the head ornaments are made of Sol(dried reeds ), jewellary has to be silver filigree. It dates back its origin to 2nd century B.C. The songs are ancient devotional songs written by chiefly Vaishnavite saint poets.
