Many immigrants to US, Europe, UK and Australia just have a foolish idea of life in these countries. Living in Africa I have a MUCH better quality of life than in the UK. Educated people do much better outside of western culture, cos the west has become very left wing with high taxes. A chinese guy in S Africa said to me, in Africa he can have a huge house with a swimming pool. In the UK his life was miserable.

The labor gov in Vic just doubled levies for fire departments and increased "congestion" levies to punish people for owning cars to pay off their massive debt. They're looking for any way to squeeze everyone now
To me, the video is somewhat truthful and somewhat simplistic. I came here from the United States almost 35 years ago. I never had what I would consider to be a 'high paying' job with the exception of being a bus driver in Canberra over 11 years before I retired in 2021. My wife is a University employee in administration and has been in that role for going on 22 years. We bought a house after renting for over 20 years in 2015 and paid it off in under 6 years. We have no debts, except recurring bills which everyone has. Since Covid, it's true, prices have rocketed higher for homes and for rents, but that's true also in virtually every western nation. Australia is still a place where there are very good opportunities if you show initiative and apply yourself, just like anywhere else. I certainly have no intention of going back to the US and frankly, I don't think I would live anywhere else other than here, except possibly the South Island of NZ and that's not very likely.
Did go to school in Canberra in the 60's, Red Hill, which I used to run up and down twice a week for years. Has certainly grown since. Still have a cous living there ! Be a faster place now, Burly Griff wasn't even full when first I went there ! !
@@linmal2242 Hi, no I did not, I attended school in the United States, in Florida from Kindy all the way until graduating from Florida State University in Tallahassee in 1979. I did drive for Action for 11 years, so I went to all of the Schools in the Forrest, Deakin, and Red Hill suburbs to pick up and drop off school kids as well as conducting services all around Canberra.
As a daughter of an army veteran and a 5th generation Australian, I can't leave these shores even if I wanted to. Things have been pretty tough and there's a real possibility I could be homeless one day. I am so glad you've done ok. It's tough for Aussies from poor backgrounds like me even with a good education. Unfortunately this country is a very divided society and if you come from the bottom rungs you're not going to get alot of help.
@@Queeniethepom I really wish you all the very best. To have been here as your family has for 5 generations and to be in this type of financial state borders on tragic. It may very well pay you to contact an honest financial planner or advisor to determine the potential that you do have in terms of reaching a stopping point, then perhaps being able to start to turn your circumstances around. I am not saying that it would be easy, but seeking and receiving financial guidance may put you on a more positive pathway forward. I know there are individuals who specialise in helping people who are really doing it tough, but don't want to remain in that situation. It is brave of you to admit to your current circumstances and I sincerely hope there is a solution for you. I;ve NEVER heard of this before. I live in Australia, and we are in the midst of a housing crisis - with current migrant intakes of 500,000 people this calendar year and proposed for the next 2 calendar years. Our population continues to grow at a rate that is outstripping housing, infrastructure and supply chains. Not sure where this UA-cam contributor is getting their information.

I don't know what you're talking about, mate, but all I'm seeing is more and more coming in. My area has gone from being majority Australian born and caucasian to mostly African and Indian.
If so many people are leaving, the house prices should be dropping due to supply and demand. All we hear is that people can't afford to buy a house. Try and get a rental in most areas, good luck!
Unfortunately, the house prices will continue to be high because certain overseas people are overbidding the locals to buy houses and leave them empty. Also, negative gearing must be capped.
Cost of living crisis in Australia? Try New Zealand, it's on par with switzerland which is one of the most expensive countries on the planet, houses are more expensive, food is more expensive, gas is more expensive and the government here is making it even worse. Its a country for the rich.
Australia has a greedy government, people are taxed to death, a packet of tobacco is now $160 , no pension till 67 . Poor services, ancient public transport. The list goes on…
I have worked in countries with much lower cost of living and taxes but never felt tempted to leave Australia because I loved the freedom. I was willing to pay high taxes if I could enjoy the bush, own firearms, hunt and fish. Now I have the very high taxes, very high cost of living, lowered wages, and the government trying to stamp out all the freedoms that real Australians have always enjoyed.
You got it right. The loss of freedoms started in the late 70’s and have been ingrained into the citizens on the belief it’s for the greater good. Look no further than the Covid fiasco. A prime example - BLM protests had no masks and zero social distancing period. No one arrested, just accepted. What, a month later people protest the Covid lockdowns and all hell breaks loose arrests everywhere, Police being very enthusiastic (excessive force) manhandling those arrested. If you mentioned Covid protests on line you were arrested. Absolute goat rodeo and the apathy by the masses was pitiful (a shoutout to Dana Andrew’s). Excessive immigration at a time there simply wasn’t the jobs or housing available. You wonder why prices of homes are through the roof. Folks better wake up and holding the political class accountable. Irrespective of which side of the isle they are in they are selling the country out. Don’t do what the people want, out, one term wonders. Start throwing in some large scale PEACEFUL protests for good measure and maybe it can be turned around.
Know your place boi, be humble. Your ancestors weren't wanted in Australia in first place but still Aboriginals welcomed them despite hate and oppression towards them. So be humble!
Regarding international students, at least 50% of them come to Australia to work. In some of the colleges the class rooms are nearly empty because most of them are working doing two to three jobs. Some of them can't speak English, how did they pass the English test and get visa approvals. Is immigration monitoring their attendance and progress in the colleges?. It's a bloody joke. As for immigrants thinking that Australia is the land of opportunity, it isn't anymore. The dream of owning a home is out of the window for most of the young people and it's the same in the UK, Canada and the US. I migrated to Australia in 1978 and happened to be one of the lucky ones as it was the land of opportunity at the time. I'm enjoying my retirement in Australia, the best country in the world and I do live a moderate lifestyle but at the same time I feel for those that are struggling.
Universities are the biggest culprits when it come to the IELTS. Having worked for several institutions they bend the rules to admit students who are going to struggle, not that they care, once they have their money in the bank, universities, despite their tearing-inducing, heart-warming student welfare mission statements, they do not care. Just another bum on a seat, ticked off, next.
Many of the so called students use study as a back door into the county with their of getting permanent residency, with a path to citizenship, (some look to market a local citizen, to speed this up) and will most likely Never word in their field of study..Most of these "Independent " college’s don’t really care if a student turns up often, or passes their courses, so long as they get paid their tuition fees… we are just importing more Uber drivers/ food delivery drivers, retail workers & cleaners… hardly skilled Labor!
I went to a business college and the all class was full of Asians ,they couldn't speak English? How were going to understand the course? NO Inspection from any Education Department in NSW ...nothing no control? back in my country authorities always check private colleges ,their standard must be higher since people pay and there is no refund...
No.As someone who left some time ago, I can assure you that Australia is FAR from being the best country. The cost of living is catastrophic , the housing crisis is the worst in the Western world. The major cities are now chronically overpopulated, dirty and dangerous. The infrastructure is third world standard in many cases.Australians are , quite possibly, some of the most over regulated and over monitored people o. the face of the earth. Australia, Canada and a multitude of other countries are going through the same difficulties. The birth rates in our countries are falling and one primary reason is that young people cannot afford to have children. Our brilliant leaders decide to import people and after government susidies end they cannot afford to stay. After this cycle which has cost the taxpayers a fortune we are back to square one. When are we going to hire inteligent politicians? Hire is the correct word because they are suposedly working for the people. Australia is one of the most expensive countries in the world to live. People who are not Australian citizens receive no government assistance. Wages are generally low considering the high cost of living. There's a chronic housing shortage which makes renting unobtainable. Forget about buying a home. It's only for the wealthy these days. Overall standards of living have dramatically fallen over the last 20 years. If I was a student I wouldn't want to be here either. Unless your wealthy.

We have exactly the same problems here in the UK. Except the immigrants aren't leaving, mores the pity. There was nine boat loads arrived, 609 migrants three days ago.
As a fifth-generation person born in Australia, I don't feel Australian because I am not an Aboriginal and every time I have to fill in a form where the question of my nationality is asked I feel like second-class citizen. It must be worse for new immigrants.
Left last year and unlikely to ever go back. Too much immigration has caused massive housing increases, enormous pressure on all the Government health and support services, increased levels of crimes, and ever increasing taxes and costs. Australia is a great place to live IF you are wealthy - for normal people it is a struggle.
No Country can survive being invaded by foreigners, especially those of a certain religion, trust me I’m from the UK, and the change we are going through is not good for the natives or the country,.
If it's true that they're leaving in droves, they're certainly being replaced times 5. I was walking down George Street yesterday and noticed the difference from being there a month before. Mostly migrants from India.
I believe if a person has a full time job they should be able to afford a house There are people who work in my work place, working full time who live in there cars so sad to here and the government doesn’t care or is doing nothing while Albo has just bought his 6 home there so many homeless people in Australia.
A lot of foreigners come here to work and then send a high percentage of their pay back to their homeland. Now that the cost of living has gone up they can’t afford to send as much back home. I think that is a big part of them leaving. It fine the government needed to get more strict with immigration. The cost of living in the UK is high as is America so Australia is no different. Australia will be fine

"jobless rate has dropped to 3.9 " because 90% of Australians are doing menial jobs. But that is the official figure, to be taken with a bucket of salt.
Living there for over 40 years I never found the cost of living high. What a shock on returning to the UK. Rentals in The UK are prohibitive as is buying. My reason for leaving was seeing what had been a great country turn into a police state. As for work, if one is prepared to put in the slog then failure is not on the cards.
I wish they would hurry up and Go , the Government should make this as easy as they can , and stop bringing in more . Australia is not the dumping ground for the Middle East anymore.
I AM CANADIAN AND IF IMMIGRANTS OF AUSTRALIANS BELIEVE, THAT THE SITUATION IS BETTER IN CANADA, THEY ARE TOTALLY MISINFORMED. IT IS THE SAMEAND MOST IMMIGRANTS OR EVEN CANADIANS ARE ALSO LEAVING FOR THE EXACT SAME REASONS!
I'm unsure you are aware of recent developments in Australia pertaining to the level of migration here. Since the Labor party took office, they have imported more than a million migrants in order to manipulate our economic figures and thereby to deceive the Australian people. They have introduced these people during a time of economic recession and the worst housing crisis in Australian history. Australians now face the ridiculous situation where the government pays 81% of all salaries, we have more than a million unemployed and nowhere to house our immigrants. Our cost of living is out of control, our wages are stagnant and the only thing the government can think to do is to pay cost of living payments to the legions of Aussies now on benefits. These are the worst experiences Australia has ever endured under the worst government in Australian history.
sorry to hear all this. this is a result of democracy or demoncrazy, its a bad thing, all democratic countries are in trouble. A benevolent dictator or monarchy is much better. Also with intermixing of races wholesale, this was bound to happen.
@aaajjj9632 the current state of affairs in the world today has nothing to do with the lack of benevolent dictatorship nor of white supremacy. This current state of affairs bears the hallmarks of capitalists winning the class struggle to push wages down and raising the rate of surplus value by price gouging and shrinkflation. As more and more of the factors of production including land and property are scooped up by the landed gentry, a population of disenfranchised Proletariat will emerge who are no longer able to feed themselves or their families - the under consumption of the masses - due to the inexorable trend to oligopoly by the remaining capitalist corporations and unfettered gouging by property owners. As the restriction of consumption of the Proletariat causes people to no longer feed, clothe nor support their children, the perfect storm of crisis will have arrived and the only way forward will be through revolution. There was a plea for immigrants to Australia just after WW2, which stated 'populate or perish' meaning Australia needed more people. The £10 assisted migration package was offered to British and Irish wannabe migrants provided they had a clean bill of health and a clean police record. Australia isn't for everyone. You need the right mindset and to be able to cope with the average Australian bluntness, which is not to everyone's liking. But Australia can have potential and it can be an exciting place.
When you're talking about migrants competing with locals for jobs without the networks or experience. I train people for high risk work. You would he staggered at the number of people coming from countries like Korea who think they are going to come to Australia without even the most basic levels of English, get a ticket for say Rigging when they've got no experience even in a similar field in their own country, and then get a job in Australia. I don't know who is telling them they'll get employment in such a high risk work environment with no English to communicate with- but that is potentially a bigger issue than networks.

I lived in Australia for over 3 years. Moved back to UK. This video shows scenes of cities; Australia is mostly desert. It is way underdeveloped and needs more industrialisation and agriculture to support a growing population. New cities would help, but managing natural resources and a balance of imports/exports is vital.
@prebenpetersen5982 The population needs to grow if the economy is going to grow.
YEs I can imagine.

I came to Australia permanently in 1990 and have always lived in the Queanbeyan/Canberra area. So, roughly 35 years in the US, 35 years now in Australia.

I believe there could be one and is one, it really is a matter of finding it and rising up to a better tomorrow and future. BTW, we had a pomeranian for 16 1/2 years who died in 2013. We still miss our beautiful Crystal.
They're leaving because they aren't being given money to sit around all day enjoying the sunshine!
And free houses.
That’s the vast number of Aussies
That doesn’t happen in Australia🤷♀️
Thats a good thing that immigrants leave. Why should they get benefits when they don't contribute to the country. UK is being taken for a fool.

This problem is here in Europe as well

That'll be the reason why white immigrants are leaving. Not sure where they can go to, though.;
Essentially the 4x2's now dominate Australia....Melbourne is like NY....they OWN the place!.

Cause the ones they build are falling apart, hm??? Must be using Chinas parts, right???
High paid immigrants are leaving not unskilled or unemployed.
More coming in than leaving
Prices are dropping actually. Trying to get into property market but now waiting cos prices have already gone down 10 or 20% since 6 mths ago
Cost of living crisis in Australia? Try New Zealand, it's on par with switzerland which is one of the most expensive countries on the planet, houses are more expensive, food is more expensive, gas is more expensive and the government here is making it even worse. Its a country for the rich.

Your welcome to leave

You are absolutely right there Thank you very much and for what you have said, which is the fact
I was really puzzled ,I couldn't even have a conversation with them ..they all talk to each other chinesse! avoiding an interaction with me. I think is just a corrupt management ,care for $$$ only and visas!!
@aaajjj9632 The UA-cam Thought Police have deleted my comment??? The first task of an authoritarian regime is the silence those who speak out against them.....
Take some of your mates with you when you go
Yes take all the muslims! They need to go!
don't forget to transfer Centrelink ac
Are you sure of your old age pension? Will Australia have enough people of working age in 2035 and beyond to support an ageing population?
I went to Australia for learning English....is very beautiful country and people... but Immigration office is just too much....they made me change my mind about my future in that wonderful country, and Iam sure I Will never return there....😎🤠🇨🇱🇨🇱
i am sorry to hear that...yes, its too authoritarian to live here now. Suffocating.
And kiwis are moving to Australia in droves, plus we’re a stop off to move to Australia by immigrants,
Kiwis had moved to Australia decades ago ; when still having permission to getting theirs dolls .Happen any more for while ago . 3:31
Kiwi here, I love Australia and wish I could live there.
Kiwis..🤡
Well someone's got to do all the work 😂
@@Boneidol82 catch 22, if you weren't here there'd be less work(infrastructure and such) needed to be done, less is more.
what a load of BS, I live here dude, you clearly have not been to central melbourne or had a visit to our universities, the place is un reconizable
Immigrants leaving in droves ! Immigrants arriving in record numbers ! Which one of you is talking bollocks? Maybe both of you?
❤
Whites stole it of Aboriginal people, getting payback now😂😂😂😂
1 million more people in Australia in 2 years. But you claim more are leaving. Lies you spread.
I don't see anyone leaving but many at Centrelink getting money from the government.
Only Australia citizens can only get Centrelink
Yep all in hijabs
Common mate get a grip. You have to be a citizen and be here for 3 years before you can claim.
@@graceg2716 refugees and asylum seekers are eligible for Centrelink from day 1 and also Medicare and cheap medicines. They also get free rent until they get established. It’s only immigrants who come the legal route have to wait to claim Centrelink
@@graceg2716 refugees and asylum seekers can get it straight away
There was a plea for immigrants to Australia just after WW2, which stated 'populate or perish' meaning Australia needed more people. The £10 assisted migration package was offered to British and Irish wannabe migrants provided they had a clean bill of health and a clean police record. Australia isn't for everyone. You need the right mindset and to be able to cope with the average Australian bluntness, which is not to everyone's liking. But Australia can have potential and it can be an exciting place.
You stole it off the Aboriginals, the true natives of Australia 😮 notice you have mentioned them, you nazi.😮
Australia has lots of potential.
Where to go to from Australia?
When you're talking about migrants competing with locals for jobs without the networks or experience. I train people for high risk work. You would he staggered at the number of people coming from countries like Korea who think they are going to come to Australia without even the most basic levels of English, get a ticket for say Rigging when they've got no experience even in a similar field in their own country, and then get a job in Australia. I don't know who is telling them they'll get employment in such a high risk work environment with no English to communicate with- but that is potentially a bigger issue than networks.
They're leaving after they receive their pensions, then return to their country and spend it there!! What a strain on Australia's economy, pension laws should be overhauled!!!
You don't get a pension if you go overseas. It's automatically cancelled if you spend more than 1 month abroad.
@@NilHd no no no you still get the pension not the full rate
@@NilHd I beg to differ!! I'm an ex-pat working overseas and I have come across so so many receiving their Aussie pension and living like kings on it in the Middle East!!
some truth in what say not exactly i'm sure but It's essentially organised theft thanks to our deceitful socialism structure designed for pillage.
Maybe we can set up a go fund me, to speed up the process.
Yo, I got a dollar for that...and the dude can take three of his mates with him!!!
Put on more planes I,m even thinking of a holiday 2 India just 2 get away from them surely there can t be any left over there
Lets return Australia back to the good old days of the 1950's to 1980's years when all worked so well, then down hill from the 1992 😠 nsw
They saw there own country go down hill into the economic pit of dispair and they can see Australia heading in the same direction. Poor governance has a lot to do with it.
Fake news, immigrants are NOT leaving Australia only those who are either illegal or have no chance of getting PR
Yes prices are very high but the job market isn’t bad for those with the right skills
Well as a Doctor I left !! I am a permanent resident but never coming back.
Aboriginal people had their land stolen by white Europeans, so now white Australians are moaning, bloody cheek😮
They won't leave the UK because they get everything for free here , including a house and free travel.
Don’t you worry about Australia’s population. There will never be shortage of people from third world countries coming to here to accept ever low levels of living standards, because it will still be better than the life they are escaping from. So the ones afford to leave will leave, living standards will keep nose dive. It end up with big gap between rich and poor.
On your bike, take your uber with you..
No Uber no taxi, driven by the same people you seem to disapprove of. With one's marbles drenched in alcohol, how does one get home past midnight Saturday? Have you ever driven a taxi on a weekend in one of the big smokes? Talk is always cheap.
I applied for Australia immigration many yrs ago and was refused . Having seen this video boy I am glad it was refused😃
Yes oz doesnt need whingers coming here
Well I'm happy for you. Where do you live now? If you don't love the country you live it's a good move to live in the country you do love.

@ed9763 yes thankfully you didnt too many here already and sadly this video is nonsense as population grew by a million in last 2 years if only this video were true it wud help with the housing shortage
Why would they leave when they can continue to live off of the government.
Entire world is high cost of living now adays😅
According to UA-camrs, the speech from the first 20 seconds of this video are applicable to every first world country, or maybe almost every major country
Only White countries need apply.
What RUBBISH.......this is a ONE SIDED rubbish report.
Best call!
If anything more are coming than ever. Albo already brought in more than expected.
You white people have the cheek to moan qbout immigrants, your immigrants yourself, you stole it off the native Aboriginal people😮
Australian Customs/ Quarantine security treat people of their own CITIZENS LIKE SHI+++T at the air ports, Understands the law but they unnecessary treat Innocent people like us so bad that I am fed up of leaving the country and arriving after a holiday SOOOOO DREADFUL!!!
Yes it is tough. People buy homes with all electronics such as dishwashers, air conditioners that are activated remotely and so on. They can afford tickets to rock concerts, many football matches, Cricket matches, narcotics, alcohol to excess, cigarette smoking, paying fines for using narcotics or alcohol when caught driving with such things in their blood, doing hooning and burnouts , partying when they say that they cannot afford electricity, giving their children phones when they are very small. People make choices that show whether or not they have maturity Then they blame politicians and others when they do wrong to themselves..
So a growing population, meanwhile the population moves away…
Complex world
@prebenpetersen5982 The population needs to grow if the economy is going to grow. It isn't shrinking right now, but "rapid" growth is offset by waves of recent immigrants feeling unwelcome or too poor to thrive. Most of these immigrants are from SE Asian countries which are overpopulated.
I left in 1967 - very different times.
So you became a Whining Pom ,
Housing pressure is almost impossible in UK cities. .
It's all over the world 🌍. The middle class is gona disappear, what will be left is poor & Rich people.
I don’t have official data with me and I don’t think the guy who made this video has that data either. Looks like he just wanted to make some video , so selected this topic. I see people from other countries particularly from India trying to come to USA. If that does not work, they try for Canada, then UK , then Australia and then Newzealand. I hardly hear of anybody going back.
Merci, your topics you raised are like this in all countries worldwide
IN AMERICA,WE CALL THE "AMERICAN DREAMS",SAME THINGS IN AUSTRALIA,WE CALL "AUSTRALIAN DREAM'S"
Well of course..
same problem in all major cities. Pushing normal people into poverty.
Government officials should put low skilled immigrants on farms to work 16 hours a day, in exchange for food, shelter and safety.
No, slavery is a no, no.
I came to Australia in the 80s. The place has been kind to me. I had a successful career, and I own my own house and own rental properties too. If I can do it, everybody can. Get off your backsides and make an effort.
Ok Boomer.
You white people stole it if the Aboriginal people.😮
Very useful information thanks ..... !!!
They could go to the U.K where they will be welcomed in and looked after. The U.K has an open door policy for economic migrants.
I thought it was because they couldnt cope with the brutal Australian humour 😂
😂🤣
Truth hurts 5:20
I moved from Brizzy to Zürich 1.5 years ago. Cost of living in Zürich is less than Brizzy! Let that sink in
I am from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and I can see that this nation is in chaos, but they are imagining that there's none and that everything is okay when it's not. 😢
I love seeing this type of video and informations ! Makes Australia quite and safe ! So others can stays where they are now ! I love Australia 4ever❤
Way to go Australia, respect from the UK
Australia is Boring
Loving the woke life, far better than the shit thats going on in the USA
Yes, make sure you let as many believe that!😅
Please share this info so that nobody would ever dream to come here! 😂
It’s not just immigrants facing challenges; even locals are feeling the pressure. Rising living costs, housing shortages, and economic struggles make life tough for many. Addressing these issues is key to building a more stable and inclusive society
